Is this a bug?

I was just playing now and came across this problem as shown in the video.
Am I missing something simple or is this a bug?

I tried exiting the game and reloading from the last checkout, bringing the Ogre across the broken bridge again and each time the Ogre just vanishes and I can't walk through the open gate.

Never seen or heard about this before, yes it's a bug unfortunately. :/

Try verifiying the game cache & then try again. If it occurs after that you might need to play from the begining, or try loading a chapter before that one

Thanks I'll give that a go and see what happens.

Verifying the game cache didn't help, but restarting the Chapter worked. When I walked through the gate it went to a cutscene at that point for anyone else who may stumble into this problem.

Ye it sounds like he only needed to restart the chapter.

Yes restarting the Chapter [number 2] fixed it for me. It should only take 5 - 10 minutes to reach that point again as you'll know what to do this time.

I didn't experience any other problems from that point on, all the way through to completion.
It is a great game.

i didn't get this one but I got 2 other bugs which didn't trigger some kind of event so couldn't progress. Takes a while to realize it's a bug and you're not just being dense and missing something :p
