That ending ***MAJOR SPOILERS!!!***
So, um, am I the only one who looked for the exit out of the spider-woman's nest when it was hobbling about and not jumping any longer? I mean, I honestly felt sorry for the thing by the end.

Seems to me the brothers' insistence on finishing her off, one leg at a time, when she was no longer much of a threat, is responsible for things turning out the way they did...

Interesting, didn't pick up on that, but I see your point... subtle statement about karma from devs maybe?

Given how she duped us, I wanted to to stay behind and stab her with all her legs, so that is probably why I missed the subtlety :)

Did you guys see it coming ? That the woman was ... you know.
If you do the chapter again you will clearly see there is something wrong with her, such as her strengh or the distance she can jump.
Despite that I was still surprised though, but the paintings in the caves are clear now

Don't mess with sacrifices.

Exactly. She was able to leap that one gap with ease. And that super-human strength. Ever heard of Spiderwoman or Spiderman? Hehe.

Well, it was necessary to rip off most of her legs because she was still able to crawl around and pose a threat. Either way, she was a major threat and she could have stabbed him at any time.

She was crawling around, but she wasn't crawling around towards them.

And yes, I noticed that she was could jump too far when I played. But then, the brothers' abilities weren't always very consistent either. The small one could jump higher than his own head, but only when hanging from something. And like the woman, he had no qualms about being shot from the catapult - pretty sure any normal person would've broken quite a few bones doing a stunt like that.

It did feel a little strange to be ripping out her legs one by one. I'm not sure that section as a whole really meshed with the general tone of the title—the fight itself and its mechanics struck me as being a little too blatantly…game–y (for lack of a better term), and they probably could've come up with ways to defeat the spider that didn't involve something as crude as actual, hands–on dismemberment.

Maybe there was a statement about something in there, maybe the older brother just felt that bitter about her betrayal, but I still don't think that scene worked as well for me as the rest of the game did in terms of its tone.

I had totally forgotten about the cave paintings by the time she turned into the spider. Thanks!

Yeah, I felt really bad after having to rip off more than the first few legs. And I'd agree that the boss fight felt a little bit...gamey. But wow....Dat ending. I was expecting big bro to survive because of the life water. This was a fantastic game.

♥♥♥♥♥ had it coming, they saved her life and she was going to repay the favor by eating them.

I took a disliking to her as soon as she started scolding little, and I did notice when she was able to make that huge jump I figured she was gonna turn on us from there on.

How did the dead owl/eagle come back to life
If it wasn't dead, why show it die and make it all sad
I would have found it less of an asspull if a wizard teleported in and teleported them home

Yeah, that seemed rather werid to me too.

Perhaps it was a different one that watched them rescue its sibling from a distance...

Or it was the dead brother... OOooooOOOOoooooOOoo (Ghosty noises!)

I agree with MMagCh. The spider fight felt out of place and it also seemed that the scenery and textures were much less detailed than the rest of the game (It's possible the developers were rushed to finish the game). Thankfully the spider fight is the only thing I didn't like about the game, and everything else was great.

Also after seeing the pegasus fly over at the very end I figured it might be big brother. They very clearly showed the pegasus die, only for it to return right after little brother buries big brother. Perhaps because little brother gave the elixer of life to big brother after he was already dead, he was given life, but in a different form?

She was kissing him. She was seducing him. It's what the classic black widow monster does. Seduce and lure men into it's den to consume.
