First thing its totally worth at discounted price at the moment.

Coming on to controller discussion, I'll be honest the first time I played, it was with keyboard. I didn't had any controller with me. I managed to play. Honestly it didn't took much time adjust so in short its completely playable but if you get controller then the game play feels a lot more smooth on the hands!!

P.S. Currently playing with Xbox 360 controller and the experience is better.
