I thought that I shouldn't buy this game cuz it's a classic....I would've regreted so much if I made that choice.Seriously this game is not only the best in the classics but I think it's the best in the series(sharing the spot with Underworld).First this game is really long 35 huge levels seriously who knows how much hours of gameplay is that.Second you are in Egypt I was amazed that this is a 1999 game seriously the graphics are soo good for their time and the level design is not confusing at all.The story...well I don't know the reason why I liked the trilogy story is because it's about Lara not about some throw away plot like in TR2/TR3,so yea the story is fairly writen so not many complains there. The platforming and puzzling is really good. However there are some cons about the game that I miss from the previous 3 titles. But before that I must say that the thing with combining items is so good.
-No croft manor(a tradition that followed its predascecors for the last 3 games is that you can visit Laras home)
-TUTORIAL(you are with Verner Von Croy and he teaches you the basic moves however this tutioral is godawful cuz it's shown in cutscenes so the first 2 levels are really really reallyyyy annoying+Verner is hetero-sexual)
-The whole thing is in Egypt(too much sun and sand hurt eyes even though I just completed the first 2 levels I still think the action should've been somewhere else but ok)
But hey it's an old game to judge it by todays standards I still think the game for its time was HELL AMAZING and right now I feel kinda retro playing but I can't say it's not fun and enjoyable.
There are a lot more things to like/dislike about this game but this is all I could think off
9.5/10 Very long and fun/entertaiming adventure that has a dramatical ending :O
