Although it's nearly 20 years old, still an engaging game with a fairly simple control system (once you figure out the basics), engaging gameplay and a rich atmosphere (even with the blocky 1996 graphics). The game can take upwards of 10 hours to complete (in my case anyway) and remains fun throughout. My main complaint with the game itself is that many puzzles seem to repeat themselves; for example pushing blocks to get from A to B is one used frequently.
There are some minor problems with the PC version. The original music that would trigger during certain events in the console versions is missing and the Unfinished Business expansion pack is also not included; however both of these issues can be fixed with some Google-ing. Another issue is that although Dosbox launches the game for you and requires no further input to run properly, minimizing the game will cause it to close losing any unsaved progress (this can easily be done by accidentaly pressing the windows key located next to the jump button).
Despite this the game is still worth the low price and both new and old fans will enjoy reliving Lara's first adventure.
