Sycthe weapon glitch?
First off, LOVE this game!! Bought this shortly after the dlc came out and 5 minutes into the original went ahead and purchased the dlc! Can't get enough of it, its always just one more round on hard, just one more round.
I've been using the sycthe alot because it's one of the best weapons for the regular ninja because of the one hit kill damage output and I really dig the dash. I've noticed that sometimes when I attack with the weapon on rage, I'll just pass right through the enemies! And of course when I'm not in rage mode, I'll just die after lunging at an enemy. I'm not 100% sure if this is just done to prevent spamming of the weapon or my timings just off, but after playing with the weapon for a couple of hours, it's starting to seem like a glitch. Kinda frustrating, because the weapons so awesome lol

I could be wrong but it seems that the scythe has some start up before it actually can attack (if you look closely there are some frames where your character is pulling out the scythe) so you're probably being hit before the scythe can actually do damage. This is why you get hit sometimes if you're too close to the enemies. As for getting hit while dashing, I'm not really sure but my guess is there's still some vunerability inbetween slashes.

if your too close to something you want to hit, the attack goes right through and you take a hit instead. sythe is wicked good, but requires a bit of skill to use.

Yeah thats what it was starting to look like, at close range you were vulnerable. Scythe is awesome, so good for speed runs.

In a funny way, that does make a bit of sense. Scythes aren't very good for close quarters...

Yep that's right - the scythe doesn't hit immediately, so that it's not *too* powerful. It'll take some getting used to, but as you pointed out, I reckon it could be very handy for speedrunning in the right hands. :)

your best bet is to run, jump, attack, and then hit down to do a high-speed death from above spin attack with the scythe

I'll be uploading a video shortly on this, detailing a ton of stuff you should know about it.

Yes, it does have a late hitbox. That's why you get hit when you use it at close range.
