Gold Digger Achievement?

I have obtained 25 out of the 26 Steam Achievements for Super House of Dead Ninjas (excellent game, by the way!), with the lone exception being Gold Digger.

Is this even possible outside of custom maps? 100 Treasures in a single run? I could clear Abarghus's Domain an insane number of times, but I inevitably get tired around 1500 rooms in...

Anyone have advice on getting this achievement?

I think there's something wrong with this achievement but I'm not sure what it is. I might try rewriting it from scratch using a new Steam stat in the next update as I'm not sure that anyone's unlocked this achievement yet!

I can confirm that it is possible to earn this achievement. I'm not sure if I got all 100 in one run or not though. My run took about 5 hours.

It's throughout your playing of the game. I get up to 1-2 before abargus (probably spelled wrong) , so to do 100 in one runs a bit insane I mean to kill 100 with the axe is a must but not this. Megadev can you improve the statistics page after a run or in the options that shows our complete statistics , all the enemies we killed , all the treasures we got ...ect. This would REALLY help me get the really pain in the ___ "play the game 50 times" one.

Same here. got every achievement but this one, and the achievement counter on this one doesn't tell me how many I still need.

I unlocked this about a month ago. Definitely possible, but it felt like I collected far more than 100 treasures. I know other games (Dungeons of Dredmor, namely) have had issues with counter-based achievements, something like the relevant value not being hard saved to the game files on the user's PC and the counter would reset on occasion when synchronizing with Steam. Would that have anything to do with it?

My advice for anybody trying to get this achievement for the time being: Keep a tally of how many treasures you collect, and either get all 100 without exiting the game, or set Steam to offline mode.

(looking forward to leaderboards btw, any word on when they'll be implemented?

The funny thing is, I was about to post in here asking the same thing.

I've loaded a lot of hours into SHODN and have gotten all achievements but this one and 1,000 deaths. I know for a fact that I've gotten one hundred treasures over a span of seven runs, as I counted them as I went thinking that I was wrong about the achievement.

It seems you CAN get this achievement, but the programming on it has relegated 100 treasures to a single playthrough, which is nearly impossible unless you'd like to spend a little over half your day on it (and also not die)


While you're here Megadev, I recommend Leaderboards.

Treasures are the silver things that drop like plates. Maybe you are referring to the treasure chests. I have also completed it, and it definitely wasn't on one run.

Well, after investing 23 hours (nearly a whole day) and taking every single achievement in the game EXCEPT Gold Digger I can say with certainty that this achievement is bugged. There is no friggin' way that after all these runs I haven't collected 100 treasures (silver thingies that give points) across the board. So, Megadev - when are you gonna fix this achievement?

It seems that those achievements which are unlocked via the client rather than the game occasionally don't happen for some reason, so I've now changed the way that this achievement is unlocked. I expect I'll have to update the game today or tomorrow, so let me know if it unlocks!

As far as I can tell this achieve is still broken for me. I've absolutely collected over 100 at this point.

Edit: So hilarious update - I somehow got the achievement right after posting this. I feel like there's no way that my grand total of treasure collected isn't WAY over 100. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I just did an insanely long power session? E.g. Never closed the game playing over the course of hours.

I got the achivment, its 100 over all I got the achivment before the DLC thought I think
