Steam community lags in game.
Super house of dead ninjas is a good game but, I am having trouble with the steam community in game.

When I press Shift+Tab to open the steam community in game, it takes 3-5 seconds for everything to show up. And, when I type a IM for one of my friends, it takes a bit for the letters to show up inside the chat box. Is there a fix for this?

I am using a wireless Xbox 360 controller to play, and I am playing the game in full screen mode. I have tried restarting steam, rebooting my PC, and re-installing the game. None of those things has worked.

System Specs:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i3-2350M
Gpu: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
RAM: 6GB

All my drivers are up to date and I have the latest windows updates installed.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I suspect this is more to do with AIR than SHODN itself - future builds of the game will be using an updated version of AIR, so I'll be interested to see if this has any effect on the performance of the Steam overlay stuff.

Ok, thanks.

I do have a 3 more questions though.

What is "AIR"?

Right now when I play it in full screen mode the game is not taking up my entire screen, instead on the left and right sides there are black bars, Can I fix that?

And, what does "Slowdown" under video options do?

Everything you ever wanted to know about AIR:

That's because of the aspect ratio that the game uses (close to 4:3), which although is more "old school", doesn't make best use of modern displays which tend to be 16:9. We'd like to move the game to 16:9 at some point though.

And, what does "Slowdown" under video options do?

It just turns off the dramatic slowdown you get when you behead an enemy - handy if you're doing a speedrun. ;)

I guess it's just poor Steam integration, and there's no fix to that.

But you can alt tab instead for the same effect, and the game doesn't break like some tend to do.
