Hard mode ending with One Armed Ninja?

I was running hard mode with the One Armed Ninja character from the DLC, and after beating the the final boss, I jumped up to touch the body floating in the middle and my character just died pretty much (he floated there and a bunch of tentacled exploded out of his chest).

Can I not do the end game with the One Armed Ninja?

Nope. If you want in AD with him, you have to start there. If you have yet to unlock it, need to use Nintai.

no i jumped up and touched the floating body and then tentacles just burst out of my characters chest. i really had no idea what was going on because there was no dialogue if you beat it with the one armed ninja

The floating body is the One Armed Ninja. So, that was just a way to tie things up.

Yes. And I have it. But it does not let you travel to the end-game that requires a golden ticket.

Sorry for reviving it, but I want to clear something up. I just got the same ending as the op did. I haven't beaten the game as nintai cause it's too difficult, so I don't know what's her ending like. Can I proceed to further content as one armed? I saw there were more stuff, but I made a wrong choice. If that's so is there any real point to playing as nintai after buying this dlc? Cause magic<double damage.
