Cant Hang From Ledges?!?

For whatever reason i cannot hang down from any ledge i can climb down ladders and vines but only after im on them. But if im on top of a ledge and i want to drop down I have to go to the edge and have Gomez grab the ledge before falling to be able to drop down. Can anyone help?

It sucks i dont even wanna play Fez any more and seems you and i are alone in this.

This is a long shot since this post is so old, but did you ever find a way to fix that issue? It's driving me crazy.

Truth be told im not sure i think it might have been a key config issue because i believe i did fix it however it haz been forever

I had this happen once, I think after rebooting the heart.
Exiting the game and rebooting fixed it.

Thank you both for replying, I've tried rebooting and all other suggestions sadly I still can't drop down from standing on a platform to the ledge. Even while there a vines below me :( I will have to keep trying then.

thanks, that would be great - it's highly frustrating.. I love the game on xbox and would love to be able to play it correctly on PC..

try remapping your jump key to space and using down arrow or >s< and pressing space i just attempted this. message me if it does not fix ill be more than happy to keep searching

If you have MotionInJoy installed, try removing that? I heard it was causing an issue like this, not sure if that was it.

I tried remapping the jump key, but that doesn't seem to be the issue I still can't get him to hang down unless I kinda jump off the side and try to hit the ledge just right so he'll hang from it. And I don't have MotionInJoy installed, I really appreciate both the suggestions though!

For me it was like instead of jumping down, holding down and pressing the jump key i would hang hmm ill work on it this weekend make sure to remind me tho kinda busy weekends are my only really extended free time

yes that's how you do it, took me a while too. but I have a wierder problem. when I hang from a ledge I can't press any key or whatever to 'fall down'. I just hang there untill I get up. even hanging from the side, and that used to work I'm shure (by just pressing down). remapping doesn't fix it. rebooting doesn't fix it, I have NO idea what happened or what I'm missing... please help this is a realy lovely game I want to keep playing!
