What's the deal with people telling me not to buy the game because of the developer?

Well, unless he's a communist using his money to fund mao's second coming and usher in a thousand years of darkness, I'm just wondering why people, even in this forum, are saying that I'm giving money to a bad guy.

If he's trying to ressurect mao, I can't in good conscience buy the game and run the risk of money funding a new slaughter of millions :|

If you think the someone isnt intitled to an opinion, then by all means boycott this game. But who cares what he said, its his damn opinion, The game is pretty fun and cheap as hell right now.

And before anyone says a thing, I game mainly on my PC and any non PC games are play are JRPGS. And no what he said doesnt piss me off, its his opinion, you either like it or not, no reason to slander the guy on an open ended opinion

Well, like I said, if it turns out that he advocates the genocide of country x or whatever, then I'll regret having purchased this.

If this is just about that twitter thing with the gaming journalists, then I actually respect him more for it and am glad I got it.

Man though, I hope this money doesn't go towards Mecha-Stalin or some other dark world-ending necromancy.

How is "Suck my ♥♥♥♥, choke on it" an opinion? Or "Compare your life to mine then kill yourself"?

Also, saying, "It's just his opinion" does make his opinion or himself immune to criticisim. That's such a cowardly copout.

All this anger from players towards a guy who did or said nothing worse then most people on the internet or twitter made me go out and put this game in my cart to purchase tonight...got love people who live in glass houses throwing rocks

I asked the original question because I thought there must be some crazy terrible racial supremist dark streak to the guy based on the calls not to touch the game, but it turns out it was about the twitter comments, which, quite frankly, makes me like the guy for speaking his mind.

That's all there was to it. I expected mecha hitler revival funding, but instead the guy is just a guy.

Problem with your flawed line of thinking is that Fish acted like a bully, and then got treated as such. He quickly found out that he could dish out the hate, but he could not take it.

He humiliated a Japanese indi developer who attended Fish's panel. He acted rude and abrasive to ANY form of criticism (Yes, even CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, which there was PLENTY of.), he treated his indie collogues poorly (Ever wonder why Judas in "Binding of Isaac" wears a fez?) , and acted like a jackass on his social media platforms.

There are a LOT of good reasons not to like this guy. If you're actually concerned (Which it doesn't look like you are, the way you are dismissing all of this.) then do your own research and come to your own conclusions. It's 2013. We have Google. Use it.
