Whoever uploaded the store page screenshots is an idiot

Yes i know I already look like the bad guy by saying something so negative about such a great game. HEAR ME OUT!!!
I've yet to play FEZ. I discovered, just hours ago, the magical world of Voxel art as i wanted to create some physical 3D models from 2D sprites. Then I came across FEZ. Just the trailer made me fall in love. As I'm watching it I'm thinking "I've definetly seen this before! Where was it.. Steam!!!"
Then I go to steam and the memories come back to me! It was just some lame looking indie game that, although i love to support idie developers, the game looked bland. Sure, the video included shows some of the 2d/3d switching but none of the screenshots do. I, like many people, judge new games by the screenshots first to save myself the time of watching the included videos.

So in conclusion, I didnt purchase this game when it was 10% off because the screenshots werent a correct representation! Yes I know its my fault but how many others out there decided to pass on this game because they didnt see the unique 2d/3d integration?
The first few screenshots NEED to show the transition between the dimensions!!!!!

yes but when you see a game that doesnt appear interesting do you watch the trailer? i doubt it, usually people just look at the screenshots, see that it looks boring and move on or that its interesting and THEN watch the trailer.

Well,i always watch the trailer first and mostly don't even look at the screenshots.

Never, never, never decide if you want to buy a game by looking at screenshots and/or trailers. People who do that have bigger problems than missing out on one indie title.
A proper research is always needed.
You don't walk on a street, see a poster of a computer and then instantly rush into a store and buy that computer just because the poster looked nice. You want to know the specs and all...you'll do your research first. - Same with video games.
Always play demos, watch gameplay videos, read and/or watch reviews/previews...

Trailers and screenshots NEVER tell you anything about a game.

I think TotalBicuit (from Youtube) does a great job there.He does spoil much of the game in case you want to buy it but says if there are problems with the game and what is nice and also only covers steam games.

TB doesn't tell you about problems a game has. He tells you what HE doesn't like. - 2 different things. More than often he focuses on video setting which are the least important things.
For an example, he is very bad at puzzle games. He even tells you that...but yet he still talks badly about games that have puzzles in them.
And not only puzzle games. He bashes a good game down just because he doesn't like a feature. The feature may work perfectly fine and may like to millions of other people but he takes the right to tell you that the game is shait just 'cus he doesn't like a certain feature.

I do agree with him sometimes tho. If you watch his videos then NEVER take his opinions as FACTS. He doesn't tell you facts. The videos are just about HIS OPINION - nothing else. He might call a perfectly well functioning feature a bug because he simply doesn't understand it lol.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't watch his videos. However, if you do watch his videos then don't take his word for it 100%. Think for yourself too. He is sharing his opinions...they are not facts or reviews. Just another mans opinions just like a random guys opinion on the street.

True,i think he focuses a bit too much about game optimisation but it seems like I mostly agree with his opinion(and I often suck at puzzle games too)
And if he uploaded a video about FEZ,i haven't watched it.
