What new features would YOU like to see?
Throw ideas against the wall! Lets see if we can come up with an awesome new concept that makes Robobob say "Holy guacamole, why didn't I ever think of that!?"

Your idea can be a vague idea you thought up in the shower, or a completely fleshed out concept complete with skteches and diagrams! Here we will flesh out plans for awesome new weapons, enemies, and even aesthetic blocks and such!

Just off the top of my head;

Spears. Both throwing for range and melee for a two block distance attack (unless there is a weapon like that I just haven't noticed)

Millstone workshop. For making flour and bread faster.

Designate Restricted Areas/walls. For limiting what gnomes can go where. Sometimes I don't want my fail (EDIT: <---I meant frail but this is just as appropriate...lol) farmers running out to grab an orange laying on the ground outside the wall...

Perhaps some sort of late stage machine farming, or even farming tools for making it faster to farm. I'm doing a sudden death world and it seems like food is a much bigger issue than in normal despite having farms and groves big enough that 8 gnomes set to farm isn't enough to keep up with it all.

Mentioned this in a previous post, but I would like to be able to custom tailor my Gnomes. Maybe at the Tailor? Not asking for anything new, but just so I can change the color of the clothes, switch hats, add the shoulder pouch bag, etc. I would also like a barber, so I could change the hair styles, beards, moustaches, etc. I'm not sure how difficult this would be, but I would be glad to see all of this done with the existing graphics/sprites and colors.

Spears soudn great! Maybe they have a penatly to blunt/slashing, or their usefulness is halved when withing 1 block, but they get a small block chance increase. It would be really cool if a thrown spear could, in the hands of a master, pin enemies down. If you miss your throw though your gnome is left weaponless AND the enemy can pick it up if they have no weapon.

Flous isn't in yet, but if it was that would be a good idea. If flour was used for other things, maybe cakes, pastreis, etc. Another thought is maybe a sneaky enemy and a sprinkling of flour on the ground would reveal their footprints and you'd know you're being infiltrated.

Restricted areas: I've always thought of a gate like you see in parking lots with that wooden arm and a guard to raise it. It you have a pass to go past the guard will let you through, and he may have a built in alarm bell to warn everyone of invaders

Maybe tractors is pushing it a bit, but schytes and plows WOULD be cool. Plows would give a good use for yaks or alpacas other than meat, wool, and milk.

¤ I would love to see some flying enemies. I mentioned a blimp and glider recently in another post. A way to get goblins in past your traps, or maybe ones that you have to take down with ranged weapons.

¤ I would also like to see more viable perks for combat and new weapons. Flaming crossbow bolts, halberbs, spears, BOWs/slingshot. The biggest wep i would love to see though is a cannon o.o just for the shock factor(1 shot a fight type speed but make it a real nice one =p)

¤ An option to maybe send out your own delegates to foreign kingdoms to speed up the discovery rate.

¤ A way to send out settlers from you kingdom to start a new one with more advanced skill set. Your first gnomes have to come from somewhere why not give your 2nd generation a good start with a real background that you created in a kingdom that fell to the goblins. Refugees of war type deal. Good stuff =p.

¤Mine carts. powered by steam engines, allows a gnome to use it to stockpile your deep underground ore/stone. A good way to move your stuff, but takes time to set up and coal to run.

¤I wouldnt mind the option of overloading a steam engine, as a makeshift bomb as a last line of defense. im a crazy person deal with it -.-

¤ Of course like many other I would like the more advanced mechanics to be added.(water pumps, drawbridges ect) These take alot of work, and i feel like the smaller additions could be a nice way to hold us over.

Eh got plenty more but ill wait to see if other peeps have similar ideas.

That would be nice. I see a little window with a "hat," "shirt," "pants", and "accessory" slection you can choose from. Along with a color wheel or some such. Colors can be unlocked by harvesting the flowers that are around your kingdom, or using gem dust (once we have more than two gems). Maybe new gnomads, merchant, or ambassadors have a chance to bring new style options in. Say none of your gnomes have monicles yet. A merchant comes along and BAM! It's the hottest fasion accessory in Pallet Town since the Tricorne.

I wasn't really implying HIGH tech lol. I meant more along the lines of a push cutter or something. Plows sound cool, but since you only actually plow the field once before planting seems a bit of a waste.

I would spew rainbows out of my nipples if this was added. I would be that excited.....

YES PIE!!!! I want pie >.>.....

As for spears i was thinking they be all piercing damage, or piercing with minor blunt damage. I like the 2 block range with a penalty at 1 block though. Thats a pretty neat idea. I want throwing axes before javelins =p dono why but axes are just to cool. Weights in all the right parts the perfect work and war tool.

I know you probably didn't mean it but my mind went there and I had to stop before I got into "mechanized manure spreaders" lmao.

Plowing could be used once the field has been harvested, re-tiling the soil and brining nutreints up which would increase growth rates

I can't help but feel like the time it would take to replow and plant the seeds would outway the time it takes them to grow currently. Maybe though adding manure from animals though would speed it up for a few growth cycles.

It might not be pleasant, but it's an important duty

On topic: I have thought about using manure or compost in the past. It would be interesting, although it might take up as much time as plowing. Both would be interesting to see in game. maybe each ahs their own advantages? Or plowing works for above ground famrs and manure works better on mushroom farms?

Honestly I would think plowing would run into more "technical" problems with the A.I. and just coding it in general. Manure/compost would probably be best used for both simplicity and ease of use.

I would think that manure would drop every so often from animals and one "pile" would count for one block and would work for maybe 4-5 growth cycle for a -20% off on growth time or something along those lines. (or maybe double harvest?) It could also be done pretty easily with a similar "manure before planting" option in the designation. Similar to the groves getting clippings before harvesting.

This would allow for either a small bonus on food if you just want to get immediate rewards for having a few animals, or let you increase your straw gains to feed more animals to eventually have everything running at high performance and NOT have your animals eat you out of house and home if you like having a lot of animals.

I would like to see a ranged weapon that doesn't require tinkering to discover, like slings, bows, throwing darts/daggers/axes, javelins, or even a atlatl (dart thrower).

Equipment slots specifically for weapons/tools/etc would be nice also. That way when gnomes are carrying other items their weapons/tools still show up on the equipment screen.

Expansion of the Way of the Gnome perk would be cool too. Possibly martial arts weapons and special armor that works with the perk, basically enough additional things so WotG can be used as an alternative to normal military setups.

Ranged weapons for enemies, like the goblin raiders. The armored goblins and ogres are in front while the weaker raiders shoot from further behind.

Random events to spice things up. Stuff like natural disasters, wild animal stampedes, or even random quests that can give rewards.

-Being able to, after a certain time period/KW be able to designate a king or maybe a council of gnomes to govern the rest of your people. Perhaps, different kinds of setups give different kinds of bonuses. If you decide to make a certain gnome, the gnome king, than that gives you a boost your military. But if you go for something more like a council, requiring more than one gnome, you get a boost to production or maybe increased trade opputunities. The seat of the governement would be greatroom, or maybe a new area that has to be attached to it somehow. You would need a throne for the king or a special table for the council.
-Sending out troops to be able to tackle nearby goblin kingdoms. If successful, you get monthly shipments of goods that cannot be produced in your kingdom. Maybe even get some goblin slaves, who only able to do labor type jobs, freeing your other gnomes up for more important things.
-I know you can mod the game currently to do this, but some sort of official seasons tileset that comes shipped with the game would be amazing, just to increase the immersion. There are already plenty of great tilesets out there, all robobob has to do is pick one D:
-More options for lighting would be great, maybe adding lights that can be hung, or even something like a hearth or fireplace
-The great hall should be the focal point and center of your kingdom, so more functionality added would be nice. Being able to have it tiered and multileveled would add to the immersion. You should be able to do more with it than just increase your KW, how about being able to have a festival after deafeating a large enemy force or to celebrate a new year. Bigger festivals, with more beer, wine, and food make more gnomes want to live in your kingdom
