I loved this game. The soundtrack and atmosphere are delightful. I heard it was short, but it is in no way a light game, it's just kinda indie sized. I spent over four hours (with exploration and playing around) playing through the story and two individual levels and it was compelling enough that I stayed up until 3 A.M. to play everything except the last individual level, which I finished the next morning. This game wasn't ever dull to me, but I did play the demo and have a good feeling it was for me. I have also yet to collect all the neck ties hidden through the game or get all achievements, so I'm going to replay the story. There is a bit of a learning curve to effectively use Octodad's abilities, but after that it's a ton of fun to live his life and do weird (and extremely average) things, with a fair amount of actual difficulty. His facial expression and derpy body make everything better. I enjoyed the writing as well. It's just so innocent and silly. The whole game is light hearted feeling. You get to be Octodad and live out different scenarios with your loving wife and darling children. I only wish the game was longer or..... I was
Octodad. *bites knuckle*
*UPDATE* I've now spent 12 hours and have almost 100% in the game (I'm not a completionist usually). I beat it on hard, got all achievements and ties, the only things left to do would be to try to beat dev clear times in each level, but they're crazy fast. I'd do it all again too. My mom was even curious when she saw the absurditity of what I was playing. My cousin who is very into games and knew of it, but hadn't played it was also quite taken with it.
