Performance Tips
Eventually I'll turn this into a guide, but while it's still short I'll leave this as a post for the Troubleshooting guide. It's designed to assist those players who have graphics cards well below the minimum specification listed on the store page.

We are leaving the minimum specification high during Early Access to reduce support incidents on low end devices, with the intention of lowering the minimum specification closer towards release.

Intel HD 3000

Test Machine:
Early 2011 Macbook Pro, Intel HD3000 GPU (1280x720), 2.3Ghz i5 CPU, 4GB RAM

GPU Benchmark Rating:
308[www.videocardbenchmark.net]

Achieved Performance:
25-30 FPS

Test Map:
[Dev Map] Stinking Swamp

Settings:
Vsync: None
LOD Bias: Medium
Lights/Shadow: None
Mesh Quality: Low
Downsampling: 75%
Environment Detail: High
Particle Detail: Medium
Antialiasing: Off
SSAO: Off

Notes:
It's important that the camera be angled down towards the ground at between 30-45 degrees so that the horizon cannot be seen (this is a typical RTS/RPG camera view in games). This will become the default camera angle in a future patch. Avoid switching into terrain camera which can see a long way into the distance.

On this configuration, settings that have a major impact on performance are: Lights/Shadows, Downsampling, Antialiasing and SSAO
