Tutorial is all there is right now. Waiting on the next update to come that adds load/save so that isn't in yet.

I want to say buy it to help them out to get the game going. But its just a tutorial and I always skip tutorial's in most games. I bought it to to give them money to get the game done I played it for about maybe 20 mins.

Please include our answer explaining that it is fixed in the next patch, and the temporary workaround is not to double-click on buildings when training villagers.

There is alot of unessecary hate on this game, it is a great idea and i really want to see it come to life... the number issue dare i say it is the lack of save feature but i can see a great future once that is up and people can get involved into it on a deeper level... KEEP WORKING HARD GUYS this will be awesome once it is running.

I agree with Max, you guys have my full support. There's not much in this game at the moment, but it has so much potential! I love the humor and the artwork is stunning!

The trailer for the game wasn't why i bought it, that actually would have turned me off it i hadn't have watched the 2nd video on the Store Page. What is going to come is why i bought the game. I have supported severeal Early Access games and don't mind waiting for patches to come because i know when this game is released it should be extremely enjoyable.

Also, for anyone thinking of buying right now, please realize that the game will likely be on sale when it gets its next update (as it was the last time it was updated). This isn't definite but only a likelihood.

I would not buy it, be careful. There has been no real update to the game for months now, nice pictures, some vids...that's it.

Also the official folk tale forum shows a more or less dead community (last post 3 weeks ago or so). It looks nice but if I had the choice again I would take my money and wait until something substantial was added. Just my opinion...

@Neowulff - At this moment in time there are no intentions for a sale after the next update.

@-JB- The link in the game was redirected to the Steam forums some time ago, and the old forum left idle ( there is a message if you click the button ) - managing the volume of spam became a drain on limited resources. That is why there is no activity on the old forum, but a corresponding increase in Steam Forum activity.
I'm on the fence with this game too. I want to see it do well but I don't want to throw my chips into a half finished game.

For me it's too early to tell how well it'll turn out but i'll stop by every now and then to see how it progresses.

Not a problem Mad hatter. Hopefully we'll win you over when sandbox becomes available. For now we hope you enjoy the fortnightly dev blogs.

This is the first game I have bought into from the ground up been involved with a lot of beta mods on games and beta's for MMOs, but with those the game is just about finished and your just ironing out bugs.

I love this idea, so many good games have come out and you think why did they do that, always some part you don't like, at least this way you get a say in what gets put in the game, and if you don't buy in you don't get to test the stuff out.

The tutorial takes about 3 hours to play, not bad for $20, a movie will cost you more than that and there is going to be so much more to try out. I sound like an add LOL, but I guess I want to see this finished and the way I see it the more money they make the quicker it will get done, didn't they hire 2 more programers from the money they got through this program?

@Jakarn Thanks to the support of the community in buying Folk Tale during Early Access, we have been able to fund the core team ( some leaving their old jobs to work on the game full-time ). We were also able to hire 2 new programmers, although we fired one. In September 2 additional artists joined the team.

Each position on the team is funded for the duration of the project to ensure long term stability and secure a positive outcome ( i.e. completion ).

There are now 7 full-time, 1 part-time, and 3 valued collaborators who contribute on a flexible basis. Then there is the small army of voice actors, and of course everyone in the community who contributes to the game's development.

I love the concept of Folk Tale. I don't regret purchasing it early on, though I admit it is a bit disappointing to only have a tutorial with no save/load, but hopefully that will come soon. Keep up the good work guys, I hope it all works out.
