When Is The Next Patch?
Let me begin by saying how much we appreciate your support during Early Access, and your patience while we drive development forward.

A full development roadmap is available at:

What's The Best Way To Find Out If There Is An Update?

We publish news of updates in the Announcements section. We also run a monthly development blog[blog.gamesfoundry.com] providing insight into progress. If you really want to follow closely, we also do almost weekly Dev Hangout streams[www.twitch.tv] where you can ask and have questions answered by our Producer. Rather than checking back daily, you can save time by watching out for announcements, and dropping in on the dev blog.

Thanks for the update on the updates :)

Looking forward to this game- you should take it as a compliment that everyone is so eager!

Best of luck to the Dev team. So far the game looks to have good bones to it. Try to keep yourself within scope though.

Ty for taking the time to continuously update us on your progress.

I say good work so far keep it up and don't work yourselves to death. I really enjoy watching the progression and I think it will make people appreciate the final cut more.

Thanks for the update GF :) Hopefully now people will stop asking the same question over and over.

Way to handle potential messy situations! Simon, and GF have yet to cease amazing me! Can't wait for the next update! Looking forward to the upcoming tower defense simulation! (If that's what the next patch is that is) If not then I'm excited to see what we get!

I've added the "Date Of Next Dev Blog" to the bottom of the post so everyone can see when the next dev blog will be available for reading. We'll aim to blog at the end of every month so folks can read up on what's been happening behind the scene.

Sorry, I will check it out once its a bit down the road. For now, it only looks promising, but so have so many others. I do think the devs here have a point and I will check in from time to time, but as I said before....Ive heard this over and over.

Sounds good so far, though when you say switch from campaign mode to sandbox mode, does that mean at the end of the day there will be both? or does that mean that it will be just a sandbox game. No complaints, just curiosity.
Games Foundry  [developer] Jul 22, 2013 @ 3:14pm
Folk Tale will be a sandbox game only ( apart from an updated version of the tutorial ). Additional game modes will be reviewed as options depending on the success of the final retail version.
impacman007 Jul 22, 2013 @ 4:54pm
Bummer, was looking forward to campaign..
Asbak Jul 23, 2013 @ 11:34am
I see for the first time that the devolopers play a open book with the players, big props because players like that!!!!

great game, great devolopers!
Appleby393 Jul 24, 2013 @ 3:53am
can it not be campaign as well because i dont like the idea of sandbox alone so i may not get this game
Kinja Jul 24, 2013 @ 7:00am
I think the fact that you chose to listen to part of the community and go with sandbox mode alone will hurt you guys in the long run. I'm not gonna buy it because of this and i know i'm not the only one. The tutorial i saw on youtube in a let's play looked very promising and fun and i just can't see how most of the humor and the story the tutorial was hinting at can make it in an open ended, non scripted sandbox environment. If i just wanted to build stuff there are tons of other games that cover that aspect.

Good luck with the rest of the development process.
