The Legacy of Kain collection is terrible

Every game has faults, poor mapping or incompatibility with a Microsoft pad for a start. Unless you use a keymapper. I just started Defiance and there are huge graphical glitches within 5 minutes of playing so you can't see where you are going.. It's insulting to such a great series of games to have such poor ports.

These same problems existed day one, these arent new problems. The point is you're making an issue of 10-15+ year old games(?) and acknowledge they are ports...you should pick up the PS1/N versions if it's that big of issue of fixing up.

Thats not the point, the point is that if games are offered on Steam they shuld work with up to date Hardware because you cant refund them here

Amen. They're near unplayable. Not run into any bugs as such but awful control problems ruin them.

They have some issues, but they are all playable and work with current hardware. SR1 is the only one that needs a keymapper, the other 2 i had no issues with and never have. Not to say that you or others wont run into issues but these issues are not guaranteed and most have solutions.

They pre-date the XB360 generation (especially SR1, which was a PS1 title).

So far my only issue is gamepad. Graphical has been perfectly fine.

Sadly, this isn't always the case. Defiance hasn't been working properly on my desktop PC since I've upgraded to an NVIDIA card. It mostly causes stuff like glitching ultra-long capes and characters refusing to move in area transition points. Defiance works fine on an AMD card laptop, though. Also, some people report Soul Reaver 2 to be crash-happy, but it has only happened to me once in this playthrough.

I just think the blanket statement of saying it's terrible isn't accurate. It doesn't apply to all of the people who purchase it. I do think who ever is in charge of maintaining this port needs to find solutions and share them with buyers.

I don't know what you're talking about. I'm using a wireless xbox 360 controller and it's working fine. There is even an option to use a gamepad + keyboard. And you don't use the keyboard for much, just needed to switch weapons, plane shift (Raziel only), view the status menu and hit enter or escape when needed. And you can make use of xpadder to use the trigger buttons and the d-pad.

EVERY GAME ON STEAM IS TERRIBLE TO SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE!!!! It's always trolling threads like this on EVERY discussion I see that gets the most replies. Next to the stupid "is this game better than this game" threads.

Only problem I had so far was the lack of support for 360 pads with Soul Reaver 1, had no problems with the other games. These games are 10 to 15 years old, of course there would be some problems. You got the full trilogy for 5 bucks, what do you want???

Hardly a trolling thread, I pointed out genuine issues I noted on my system. I loved these games and feel they deserve a decent port, if you are happy with sub par products being sold on steam all the time then by all means carry on.
