steam workshop
why for the love of all things rational and logical is there no fallout: new vegas workshop ? we have one for the elder scrolls games why not fallout ? it makes absolutely no sence and there is no rhym or reason they can give that would excuse them from not having one . there are many of us that really do not want to use nexas mods for one reason or another . so yeah starting to ramble and rave here (kinda like the nightkin) in short we the fans want ney demand to have steam workshop for fallout: new vegas.

The game was made in 2010, and it is on a horrible engine.
Besides, why would you even want workshop over manually modding yourself?
It might take a bit more time and effort, but the payoff is surely more satisfying.
You have a lot more freedom with Nexus.

Workshop not too good. Workshop for mods that need to actually interact with each other and need a specific order they interact with the engine… super bad. As in the sense it will not work. At all.
Before you even think about trying to mention the Skyrim workshop: try to find the top 250 Nexus mods on the Steam workshop.

Approx. 250+ for a NV Workshop and 1,000,000+ against it. You're in the Minority!

Edit: FYI; I have about 150 active Skyrim Workshop mods. The only reason My game still runs With those mods is because I only launch with SKSE and Never the Steam Launcher. Workshop mod authors update their mods, many of which conflict with other mods. Steam auto updates Workshop mods and those conflicts crash players games. Very early on, I grew weary of spending countless hours dealing with mod conflicts. Have not let a Workshop mod update since May 2012 and never will again!

Yikes guys, way to treat the guy well lol. I can see why he gets a little touchy when his OP his met with initial comments such as

I mean, ya, you could have been worse, but seriously, give the guy some slack. Who cares if he made a comment about the fallout fans? OH MY! And seriously, just explain the modding scene to him a little more gently and maybe he won't call you a little boy. :P

Eesh, it's also definitely possible that maybe he just wants a simple, and not too in depth modding experience.

I for one, on the other hand, don't give one about a workshop or Nexus or anything. I'm a purist and shall remain so. lol

Ladez, you were the one who made an unnecessary comment against his use of "we the Fallout fans" so don't bite his head off and call him immature when you initiated the stupidity.

To sum it up, I don't mean to rage at y'all, I mean heaven knows there are MANY MANY people on forums who are much worse, but we can all be a little more understanding eh? :)

He made a demand on the behalf of the fans, the majority of which demonstrably are perfectly content without Workshop, and understand the reasons for it not being there. OP could have searched the forum for the term "workshop" and found hundreds--if not thousands--of threads explaining everything. Why on Earth should we reiterate the exact same responses every time someone decides that doing a bit of searching beforehand is beneath him?

Mentioning someone's mother as a response is a cheap insult, and it is immature regardless of what sparked the insult. Any rational individual should be able to understand this.

No I get that, he wasn't correct in saying that the fans wanted it. I'm just saying that a quick explanation regarding nexus etc. would have served the purpose much better than even noticing it.

In regards to the comment about the mother, ya it was immature! I agree :P

It has been explained countless times already, and on top of that he stated outright that he didn't want to use the Nexus, although he didn't mention any of the reasons he reportedly has for it.

If he had actually shown an interest in modding without the Workshop, instead of arrogantly writing it off and making demands on the behalf of everyone, then maybe--no, almost certainly--he would have gotten some useful answers.

Well then there ya go, you're denying him his basis of the post. His basis was that he already knew about the nexus and didn't want to use it. I don't think there was really anything arrogant about his statement either; he just didn't want to use it. Regarding the "demands on the behalf of everyone" I think it was more just rhetoric than anything.

So maybe the bottomline is, someone might want the workshop for this game because they don't want to use Nexus. :| I just feel like his OP hasn't been treated very well.

okay at this point its become the rager vs the white knight while i apreciate the back up i honestly dont need any . i just ignore the hate this is the internet after all you come to expect that from nexus fanboys or fanboys of any thing online . i refuse to pay a subscription for something that should be a free service . hence why i refuse to use nexus . plus last time i looked majority of the top fallout nv mods on nexus where all x rated mods . come on really your that lonely and desperate for female body parts that you have to create computer ones when you could just as easly go to a local strip joint on the other side of the town so to speak. if i download mods i want stuff that is going to add to game play like new weapons factions missions areas to explore that kind of thing.
