gopher vid series on nexus mods and how to install them
also his NMM series

Second of all, you will need a Mod Manager. NMM is the most popular and does have a few flaws. It's fixed some of those flaws and I highly recommend you use NMM (Nexus Mod Manager). So download that manager first. It's pretty straight forward; run the installer, set the location for mods installed, etc. Scan for games in NMM so that it finds New Vegas. Afterwards you should be good to go.
NOTE: MOSTLY ALL MODS WILL BE INSTALLED VIA THE NEXUS MOD MANAGER, AKA NOT MANUALLY.
Stability mods are pretty much the only ones that will be installed manually, into the game directory. These include but are not limited to:
NVSE
NVAC
CASM
4GB Launcher
NVSR
------------- All of these just require dragging and dropping into some place in the game directory; follow the instructions listed by the mod creators in order to do so.
The first mod with the NMM you need to install is the Yukigica Unofficial Patch for New Vegas. (Yukigica or something like that, I forget the spelling.)
Install it with NMM, activate it and you should be good to go (press the Download with mod manager button every mod file and it should take care of the rest.)
All graphical/texture mods will be installed via the mod manager, just by pressing that green install with mod manager button beside every mod download file.
Install what you want, then activate the mods. Keep archive invalidation enabled. (i recommend to toggle it off and on every now and then.)
After, download BOSS to sort your mod files (just run it). You should be good to go afterwards, for a beginner such as yourself.
Any other questions feel free to ask.
Some graphical/texture mods I recommend are NMC's Texture Pack and Wasteland Flora Overhaul. Make sure to download all patches for added stability.
Gophers video is a little dated; it may even be obsolete by now :/
the NMM vids are 1 year old but NMM is still the same program. his other vids are 5 years old but considering I used his guide for the mods I use(plus a bunch more) and do not suffer any problems I still must recommend the vids. Some of the mods have been updated since that time but still do the same functions.
After learning NMM and following the NMM tutorials you probably will not even need to follow his directions in the other vids and simply use the mods he uses. I use MOd Organizer so I can not say for sure that the install process is exactly the same but the NMM tutorials will set you in the right direction for installing mods.
as always though read the mod description for further details.
every mod i used its just been a simple download unzip and drop
then
when you load up the game click data file and select the mod you want then ok
you
might need to restart computer or run the game in admin i've had a few problems with simple mods just bc enjoy
2. right click and copy page url to text document, your profile description or any where you want

My browser is also being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird and it would not let me sign up for NMM.
Did you install the stability mods?
Also you need to use archive invalidation.
There's over 6 which you must install. Check the stability guide on pinned.
don't forget to use LOOT. the other mods are optional .
