I see that the Mig 21 is already for sale from the DCS website.
Its annoying we are having to wait on Steam.

You don't have to, get the standalone.

Dont you have different keys?

Yep, the stand-alone bought key will not activate here on Steam. The Steam release is 'later':

There are two versions of base DCS World, the Steam one here and the stand-alone one from the developers site. The stand-alone version has its own serial keys. These serial keys don't activate on the Steam version.

Put another way, you can buy the MiG-21bis from the ED store and use it with the stand-alone DCS World today, but you can't use what you bought to activate it within the Steam version.

Note: You can always use your Steam bought versions to activate in stand-alone.

Personally I like Steam because of the automatic updates. It's too bad the way Steam does keys prevents the games from being sold from either site. I suppose Steam would want to charge for each key, though it seems like it could be kept minimal, like an extra $5 if you order from the DCS store (which if I wanted the plane bad enough I'd pay for, but I wait for sales now because I'm going to end up buying them all). Rise of Flight suffers from the same issue. Great sim though. Not a full sim like this but I'd recommend checking it out too. No reason not to have two great sims!
