Sharing keybinds
Hey folks. Is there any method to get the same key shared on multiple actions inside DCS. I have the X52 Pro and Im trying to see if I can get the full-squeeze trigger to do both cannon and weapon release. I avoid the saitek program like the plague because its given me a lot of trouble. Maybe binds file editing?

If there is a way to do it it will probably be through the Saitek Software where you set up a button to toggle between the functions of the trigger. At the moment DCS World can only make a button do one thing even if the other is not possible in the current mode of the aircraft. What you are asking for would be awesome but it is not possible with DCS right now. The closest you could get is to use the Saitek software to set up a toggle function button and then remember to press it when you select your cannon. If you post this on the ED forums it may make it into the next update if enough people want it.

Ahh too bad. I managed to edit the X52's LUA file for the binds and got the secondary trigger shared between "Gun Fire" and "Release Weapons". Only the cannon was able to fire, once unbound, I was able to release rockets/missles. Oh well it's a slight inconvience that I came up against again.

I do use Pinkie and Secondary Trigger to switch the trigger assembly between the cannon and weapons though.

You should still post on the ED forums where the devs will see it because I don't think it would take a lot of time to add this function to the game. They are usually pretty good at takeing suggestions from players and making them happen.
