Oculus Rift GTX 970 - frequent dips to 40fps :(

Been trying DCS out with the rift and it's absolutely stunning! Even on Low. I can't seem to play however as the frequent FPS dips are vomit enducing... It's fine at 90fps but my 970 can't seem to hold it steady.

Anyone in a similar situation? Any tips for improving performance?

I can only get 60 fps on a 970 with frequent drops. Multiplayer is much worse.

Well, it will always depend on how much stuff you have to render and process.
In multiplayer it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess, just think about all the ♥♥♥♥ it has to process!

So I don't think there's a way to fix it, it will always depend on the mission.

Just think of how bad it would have been without edge... i barley got 40fps with a amd7970 without a rift before edge..

There's definitely issues with DCS and VR, I did a google search and there's a huge thread on the main DCS site about it. We'll just have to wait for a fix, hopefully.
