Fallout 3 crashes on startup PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Ok now I was installing fallout 3 wanderers edition mod got that in worked fine now on the nexus there was a patch I put that in now it crashes on startup I was using the fallout 3 mod manager I tried deleting the mods I went into data files and deactivated them but fallout 3 still crashes at the starting screen. The way I see it there are 2 possible problems and 3 possible answers

1 The patch for fallout wanderes edition screwed something up and because everything on steam goes to cloud if I delete local content it still installs the mod.

answer 1 (The really hard answer) I manually go in and delete the mod which I have no idea how I am going to do tat for something as extensive as the fallout 3 wanderes edition.

answer 2 Since I already bought the game I somehow (I don't even know if you can) get an original copy the non cloud version from steam. Like I said I dont even know if you can do this

Problem 2 Fallout 3 script extender is not working.

If anyone has some information that can help me out please post I am really stuck.

No, your modified data is not saved to the cloud, the could is only for save games, I am not sure if F3 even uses it.

If this ends up not being related to data files, ill share my way out if the fallout hell.

I beat my head on the fallout issue for some time, with both of them. I actually finally found a solution that worked after trying everything commonly suggested from the compatibility suggestions and .dll fixes to the multi core fixes, directx update, graphics driver update and anything ele anyone suggested.

It ended up beig my codec pack. Check that you have no codec pack isntaled and if so, remove it and try again.

Good luck!
