"Tutorial", ever heard of that?
I realy regret buying this game like this, won't recomend to anyone... voted for it on Greenlight and bought it at release. Now that I played it the first time and I'm realy disappointed (much like minerwars)...

Have you ever heard of a Tutorial?
I mean, in any other game (even if it is only Multiplayer) there is Tutorial with a basic training. In AirBuccaneers you just join a random server and "Help" boxes are wildly blinking up. They tell you "move with movement keys", I guess that it is WASD, but why don't you write such basic things? I found out how the use the rope after I read some discussions here and still don't know how to change the cannon fire mode (which is very basic).
If you compare this to Forge, which was also a Greenlight game, also Multiplayer only, there is a tutorial which is required to do before joining any server. You can try out all the stuff on a local map where you can spawn a static enemy. You have 4 trainings for 4 aspects and thats it.

Yes I played this game "only" 1 hour, but why should I play any longer if it is no fun to me? In 1 hour any good game should be able to start being fun.

You are not wrong, but it's a multiplayer game, like you said yourself. Why don't you ask people how to play?

They had a tutorial in beta, IIRC. It was buggy. I'm hope they are making a better one. Even the UT2k4 mod had a tutorial...

Absolutely +1. Though those "help boxes" did help a little, I still don't know, for example, how to use flamethrower. And lots of other things, I guess. Tutorial would be extremely useful.

Why don't I ask people how to play?.. Well... that's the wrong question. Why SHOULD I ask some people how to play? Isn't it the duty of the game itself?

I'll surely ask some other players, I'll try to find out everything I need in some ways, but... It seems to me there's something wrong in here, isn't it?

That was the "you are not wrong" part.

Voted no because of lack of tutorial?

Modern gamers…

Says someone who calls himself hipster xD
Sure you need no Tutorial for Mario, but my keyboard has more than 8 Keys and this game has more than 2 Dimenions.
In CS 1.6 you can just look up any key in the settings, this games control settings have less than half of the functions to bind, as most keys have 2 or 3 different usages depending on the situation.

In case of it's of any help, the Official Strategy Guide for AirBuccaneers will be due out very soon and we cover all the game in a lot of detail with screenshots and videos to help further.

Have just wanted to suggest it. No, really. ;) Great thanks, I'm sure it could be pretty useful for so many people. Good luck.

Probably because the lack of a tutorial (while definitely a bad thing) is a problem that will go away as you learn to play, which shouldn't take too long. If you're gonna give up on a game after one hour of mild inconvenience, might as well start using your money as toilet paper.

There is a wikia up for this game. It includes instructions on each role and controls

I'm not talking about "mild inconvenience", I'm talking about running around with no idea what I'm doing. I feel bad for the other players in my team, because I'm just a usless player.

A wiki should be for someone who has played for some time and now wants to get the best tactics and tricks, not to learn the basics before starting the game.
I read a Tutorial for Terraria because I want to find the cooles weapons, not because I want to know how dig a hole.

Though now it seems to be right. The basics of the game are described quite tolerably by the help boxes, and everything what is more complicated can be found in wiki or guides.

Thanks to everyone who has told about wikis and guides. Sure it can help a lot to newbies.
