Ubuntu 12.04 x64 much more slower than windows 7
I've got the following computer:
AMD Athlon II x4 620 @ 3.25GHz + AMD 7850 1GB + 8GB DDR3-1333

My problem is, that i've installed L4D2 on windows and linux too on this computer, but on windows is much more smoother.

On windows I use Catalyst 13.01, on Ubuntu (it's Kubuntu, so I use KDE, but I've tried disable desktop effects too, so that does not matter i think) Catalyst 13.08 beta, so the latest. It's generated distribution specific and works correctly.

With same settings (1920x1080, one monitor, enabled or disabled Vsync - it doesn't matter -, noAA, 16xAF, Very High / High / High, enabled multicore - because I can't disable it) the game on linux lags. If I change to lower settings, the filter or shader or anything it lags too on linux.

My questions are: How can I gain the same speed? How can I help (logs, or else), to solve this problem?

I think the results speak for themselves. The OS you paid for works better than the one you did not pay for. Summary: Stop expecting an OS you picked up from your local soup kitchen to perform as well as Windows does for gaming.

They are still working on the drivers and the game.

People with nvidia have already reported games running a bit faster.

Then expalin this:

After this work, Left 4 Dead 2 is running at 315 FPS on Linux. That the Linux version runs faster than the Windows version (270.6) seems a little counter-intuitive, given the greater amount of time we have spent on the Windows version. However, it does speak to the underlying efficiency of the kernel and OpenGL. Interestingly, in the process of working with hardware vendors we also sped up the OpenGL implementation on Windows. Left 4 Dead 2 is now running at 303.4 FPS with that configuration.

It is running smoothly for me on 13.04 64 bit.

The problem may be with the version of the drivers you are using,

I've think about the 3.2.52 kernel. As I read, the newer versions of Ubuntu uses 3.5 and 3.7 main type of kernel, and this can be also a problem.

I've updated my kernel to 3.8.0.30 and reinstalled my catalyst 13.8 after that. The game is much more smoother.

The way to install new kernel on precise is very easy:

sudo apt-get install linux-image-generic-lts-raring
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic-lts-raring
