Same here, have to disable it every time a lunch it. I believe it's a false positive.

That's just a compressed file. It's detected by the scanner because viruses often compress themselves to try to avoid detection. If it doesn't detect anything else you're likely safe.

The L4D2 Beta is completely safe, like the comment above, it's just a compressed file.

There are no viruses present. False positives happen from time to time, we will inform them this is an incorrect detection. thanks.

Submit the files to the virus lab, so they can fix it
Avira, https://analysis.avira.com
Avg, http://samplesubmit.avg.com/
Microsoft, microsoft.com/security/portal/Submission/Submit.aspx

And then wait for a update :)

Or just don't use antivirus software. That's what I do and I've never gotten a virus in my life.

that isnt effective in regards to realistic protection against a software threat. to put you idea into my perspective: "theres a bomb that's gonna exlode in thirteen minutes, bob". "wait, i have an idea jeff, lets just act like it's not there". lol, or: "hey bob, i was talking to that girl from last nights sister and apparentally she's HIV positive". "wow, jeff, its possible but im not going to go get tested just in case i DO have it". yknow? happiness might be bliss but bliss can sometimes be dangerous for you or your belongings.

plus, how would you know if you've nevr had a virus in your life? you've never had the protective scanning to know if it IS there. some of those things can be pretty incognito so i'd double check my system if i were you.
