This game is amazing!
I began playing it after the release of the first big official patch on Steam, and finished it after about 20 hours of gameplay. This game is gorgeous, performs very well (60 fps all along maxed on a 7950), and is extremely fun. Got hooked from beginning to end. I really hope it sells a lot and the devs go on making more incredible games like Miasmata. I'm surely watching out for their next project.

I've recently got a handle on cartography and the movement required to navigate steep slopes without falling. I have even learned how to negotiate encounters with the beast with some success. Previously I was turning my back and running for my life. Not a good idea!

It is a great game, a real break from the norm. The exploration is peaceful and beautiful. Gathering plants for examination and potential synthesis is a perpetual conquest with short term and long term benefits. Encounters with the beast are tense affairs that test your instincts and adaptability to your surroundings. It's an all round pleasant experience that sits proudly alongside the bigger budget titles in my Steam library.

I agree, fantastic game! Very nice visuals, smooth gameplay (gtx 660ti), and I loved the cartography once I got the hang of it. The Creature was annoying at first, but once I learned how to evade it (most of the time) I began to enjoy the tension it added to the game.

Anyway, hats off to the devs - excellent job! Can't wait to see what you guys cook up next!

Ditto to these comments. Finishing mapping up all the gray areas now. Best time I've had with a game in years. Didn't these guys have a funk band in the 70s?

I cant belive this game was made by only two people?! Just finished it and had a lot of fun. The feeling of beeing out in the woods seemed absolutley real to me. It has just a deep atmosphere and you sence the love with which it has been made of.

Awesome!

Just started today, and I'm getting a kick out of it. The cartography was a pain-in-the-♥♥♥ at first until I figured out how it worked. Of course, it doesn't help that I could get lost in my own apartment

Honestly, one of my top 3 games played in 2012... Thanks for the environment, plot, and unique gameplay.

A lot of people are suggesting and critiquing, but have NO idea what it takes to make a project like this. Don't listen to them. The gameplay, inclusions, exclusions, the research behind your choices, and the story are perfect... it was your idea and you executed it wondefully.

Thank you for some GREAT entertainment guys!

I agree with you in general - Miasmata is a fantastic game - but I'd still like to see hunger & food in a future update, or sequel ;)

Nothing is perfect, everything can be improved. Miasmata is no exception to this.
