"Theories about plot? [SPOILERS!!!]"
Because you're asking for something about the game ending !? How much more spoiler-ish can it get ! LOL
So, and I'm not good at this, Goughs found the cure before I did? He loaded a crate full of the cure onto the boat and then ... what? He disappeared?
I found a lot of the bodies, but didn't bother trying to identify them. Is Goughs the killer? Or did he go crazy and kill himself too? Or did he get murdered or loose his marbles before he could go off in the boat? Seems odd because the cure was instantaneous.
Seems like the ending might not be as vague as it first seems. I think they should have had you paying more attention to the dead scientists, who they were and who was killing them if this was of importance. Maybe its all a very clever plot to get you to play through the whole thing several times now knowing that the dead are of some importance to the story.
Also, if you take the letters of the name Robert Hughes and change their order you can build Herbert Goughs with it.
