Can Miasmata work on windows 8?
I bought this game on steam and tried to play it but it didnt work. I went to the miasmata page and looked at the system requirements and realized it didnt say windows 8. Does anyone know of a way i could play it without getting windows 7? if you do please reply.

I'm playing it on Windows 8.1 right now, no issues. Well, had to turn on vsync otherwise the menu background completely spazzed out, but game works fine.

I played it on Win 8 with no problems and now I'm playing it again on Win 8.1 with no problems. This is one of my all-time favorite games. Each time I play it, it is different. It has a story, scares, intrigue, challenges, beautiful scenery and gorgeous little creatures...birds, butterflys, squirrels, etc. I'm anxiouly waiting for their next game and I will buy it.

We know for a fact that they are working on a new game, though we don't know much about it yet.

Here's what we do know (naturally this comes with the disclaimer that any of this may change before launch or just turn out to be inaccurate):

- It will likely use the same Milo engine as Miasmata:
"We crossed a point where we think we can continue making games," he says. "We invested a lot into building our engine, and we won't fully recoup that with Miasmata. That will hopefully pay off in the long run as we release more games based on it."

- It's going to have more emphasis on survival and will feature a cliff climbing mechanic:
IonFX is planning to take the first-person survival theme further with its next game as well. "We're just really gonna emphasise the survival aspect," says Johnson. "We've been working on this climbing mechanic for cliffs which we're really excited about."

- It's going to have better modding support:
With our next game, we really want to open things up more to modding, so we're building more stuff in from the beginning.

Personally, I can't wait to see what they come up with, but it's probably still a long way off.
