Resting Time Skip to 1am not 6 hours?
I just started playing Miasmata and I read somewhere that sleeping in the beds was supposed to skip time ahead 6 hours, yet the two times i've gone to sleep I woke up at exactly 1am. While I can't be certain about the first time the second time should have had me waking up at 5am, exactly 1 hour before sunrise. Is this some sort of bug, if not it would be a pity because sitting around doing nothing for 5 hours waiting for the sun to come up so I can get stuff done is not worth it to me.
Update: Just tried resting again at 1am and it jumped me to 7am. So if it is a glitch it only occurs when trying to sleep through the nightime.

You'll find that resting has an ending time rather than being 6 hours. If you go to bed early you'll find your waking up again beween 11.30 or 1am sleep a 2nd time and you'll rise between 6.30 and 7am.
You can go to sleep 4 - 5am and wake up at 6.30 - 7 am
It's not a glitch as much as it's the game setting the start of day and all graphical settings for it. That's just my opinion, I'm sure DSS could correct me on that!

You can sleep for 1 hour!

I think that if you go to sleep before you've got the cigarette lighter out, you wake up in the middle of the night. If you've got the lighter out and then go to sleep, pretty sure you wake up at dawn.

Sometimes I deliberately wake up at 1am and go and have a quick look outside. The island can look gorgeous if there's moonlight. (I don't go very far, mind. **shiver**)

Well i've got a very dark monitor sometimes so I can't see a thing when it gets dark, moon or no moon.

When I first played I also thought It's way too dark and the thought of attempting the cure in 3 or 7 days seemed ridiculous as at night you can see so little and torches and sticks burn out reasonably quickly.
Advice I received from DSS changed my perception! Once you have been playing Miasmata for a while you recognise Stick locations and there are quite a lot......there are some areas that don't have many, That's were experience comes in!

After getting Help I managed to complete a 3 days Achievement running through Day + Night and only sleeping for a couple of hours when health gets to poor. Because as health gets to poor your vision gets blurry and even drinking water doesn't help that much.
It is a great Exploration game!

Yes, just wait until night actually falls, then go to bed.

That works in real life!
However in miasmata it's much more interesting to try to find kitty at night?! to see whether you could pat or pet her? Or have I fallen off the ........ proverbial branch?...... :)
