Just finished
It took me 12 days. I completed all primary and secondary objectives. I didn't map out the island very much but kinda just stumbled about in general wonderlust. I had a basic general idea on where to go most of the time but got lost on more than one occassion ending up way far of field.

One thing I think they should have added was a time limit to find the cure to instill a sense of urgency and pending doom. Otherwise this was a great little exploration game, with some tension with the creature popping up every now and again.

Now you just need to go back and get all the achievements that work.

Congratulations! That was a lot faster than my first playthrough (29 days) - though, I did map out most of the island before I found the final ingredient to the cure.

If you haven't already seen my threads on the topic, you can fix the unobtainable achievements with my patches from these two threads:

I've also released a tool to help track progress on the more difficult achievements (and reset the Sanchez #1 note if you picked up the glitched one), which you can get from here:

The only achievement you still have to be careful of is the lot of head statues achievement - it does work, but only if the final head statue is revealed by triangulating it as a distant landmark (as opposed to picking up a regional map or revealing it as part of the map near your location).

So this is a long game? I'm tempted top buy it, but I don't want another 30min disappointed as happened with Gone Home.

Also, is this game still being updated? In other thread someone said the devs abandoned the game

Depending on how you approach the game I'd estimate it could take anywhere from 8 (fast) to 12 (typical) to 20 or more hours to complete.

No, the developers went silent shortly after the last update way back in January, and other than a mention of their next game in an article a few months back we haven't heard anything. The game is getting community support (from yours truely), but the types of bugs I can fix are somewhat limited since the game doesn't have any official modding support.

The game is in a perfectly playable state for many people, though there are a few annoying bugs that we have to work around (like closing the map too quickly can disable input - which can be fixed by opening and closing the journal), but nothing game breaking.

Just make sure your graphics card meets at least the minimum spec before you buy it - the game doesn't play nice with below-spec cards.

For what it's worth I would highly recommend it as my game of the year for 2013 and possibly even of all time. Just don't go in expecting a shooter

I'm more then halfway through the game and either I'm a great survivalist or a dunce, The creature has yet to make an apperance.
