my game wont let me start it i have uninstalled it and reinstalled so i need some advice

The first thing I'd suggest is to make sure you verify the installation. I've had Steam screw up and 'forget' to fully install a game.

After what does it do? Anything? Black Screen? Do you get the squares loading sequence?
