The Brink Tragedy
I don't know about you guys, but Brink is probably the single biggest disapointment in my entire gaming career. I remember when they first announced brink and had it for preorder like a year before it came out, and EVERY trailer and artwork and screenshot painted this beautiful picture of an intense story driven shooter with real freedom of movement and cod4 levels of pure shooting enjoyment. Every trailer they released hyped me up more and more and more and more for this game, even up to launch it seemed like nothing could possibly go wrong. Then the game comes out and the in game story was just ♥♥♥♥ing gone, replaced by little audio logs at the loading screens. All that tension and real gameplay just cut for no reason. The guns turned into peashooters with ridiulously bulletspongy enemies and almost no recoil; which together gives the shooting a very bland feel. I just don't know what happened. Here's hoping they learn from their mistakes, and make the next Enemy Territory level hit.
