How to make Brink Popular
So, I haven't bought this game, because I see countless posts on how few people there are. This plan works; it worked with Age of Empires 3! AOE3 used to have less than 100 people on, and now we're back to 1000, thanks to Steam and their sales.

What needs to happen is a 80% off discount from Brink, and it needs to be glorified at the front page of Steam. That means large banners and the exit game page. When a game is that much off, I always purchase them. If anything, I only wasted two or three dollars; but TEN dollars even when on sale? That's far too much for a game nobody plays.

This is just a suggestion. I think that at the end of every games' lifespan, they should bump the price very far down. Unless they want a dead co-op and multiplayer, that is...

A 80% off discount would be a 100% buy, that's granted. In the meanwhile I can stick with classics, such as BF3/CS/Left4dead or many other great shooters around here. Sooner or later it will come into my collection. Btw, DgtheGreat, I must admit that I like the way you see things (and discounts!) :)

Glad to see that people agree with me. Sadly, companies don't care. They think that selling less for more money is better for some odd reason. They don't understand that in the end, Brink will make three times as much if it goes on sale than it normally would.

Im playing it right now and I can only find one server with 2 pepole in it...

This completly changes the situation, it makes me wonder if I really want to buy the game, even with an 80% discount. I understand that the developer keeps up the price in order to avoid a dissapointment or something...

The reason brink died is because it was a bad game.

I can guarantee that you haven't played Big Rigs.

Brink is a horrible game, that is why it died.

Why would you have 51 gameplay hours in a "horrible" game? I don't even have it, so I personally don't know if it's good or bad. All I was saying by starting this thread is that you can revive any game, good or bad, by good advertising and an unresistable sale.

Brink is an excellent objective-based shooter. Some of the greatest gunfights I've ever been a part of. I'm not really sure what you think is so horrible about it.

I really wish the population could get back up to where it was after the summer sales last year, lots of full servers, excellent matches.

Why isn't there a 48hour steam sale i don't know!?!
-80% and the community will skyrocket with a couple filled servers every day at least. Shame, it's a great game. I've played it in cyber cafes with LAN all the time a year back.

If Brink were on sale for 80% off I'd pick it up for sure. :)

I hope it will. Haven't played it for ages, because it was too broken back then. I'll install it, and hope for a sale so we can have some fun, haha.

Thanks for the support. I only wish there was some way we could force the devs to see this.
