Connecting to friends for Co-op
Me and my brother(s) bought this game for some good co-op action. Tried playing single player with no (technical) problems what so ever and was really looking forward to playing with my friends.

Sadly we were not able to connect to each other at all, we found one another in the server list but ended up in an endless "Loading"-screen, giving up after about ten-or-so minutes. Is it a port-forwarding issue, or? We manage to play (most) other multiplayer games just fine. Anybody else with this connecting issue?

Me too, no solution by now. it worked once but i dont know how and the game was unplayable due lags like hell.
I tried connecting coop today as well, I also get the fault "Download data" staying constantly on the screen - was able to play multiplayer mode OK, but not coop - any solutions?
Same issue, tried both hosts, messing with firewalls and antivirus, no success.

@NV607 It may be because your friend has slow upload. In other words, if you are connecting to his game (he is the host), his computer has to send sector data to your computer. Some people have slow upload bandwidth.

How long did you wait until you terminated "Download data" progress?

At least when we tried, we waited at least ten minutes with both as hosts, with (speedtested) 0.8 MB up/sec...

Ok, we will look into it
I waited about 5 minutes before cancelling. Almost all of the multiplayer game lobbies available had the same issue for us. I normally download around 600-800kb, my friend has a faster connection.
Hi,
we've just checked the issue.

To join the game, host has to send you current sector...it's a lot of data (like 1-2 MB or so, coop maps are generally larger than deathmatch).

"Downloading data" duration depends on HOST UPLOAD speed and CLIENT DOWNLOAD speed. We've run some tests and when both host and client has high-speed internet connection (e.g. 10 MBit upload and download), it's blink of an eye. With lower speeds (e.g. 1 MBit both up and down), it takes few seconds (5-10s). On mobile internet and bad signal...it takes forever.

Unstable/laggy internet connection has significant impact on download duration.
There's one more thing: Mostly you'll have upload speed much lower than download speed, e.g. 8 MBit download and 1 MBit upload. Even 6 MBit download and 0.2 MBit upload is quite common.

To reduce download time you can:
Pause/Cancel all downloads (especially torrents)
Close internet browser (browser games, youtube preload can download data)
Quit other apps which uses internet (skype...)

We may add some kind of progress bar and current download speed to "Downloading data" dialog.
Progress bar (or just a number) would be fantastic if for no other reason to know if it really is doing something and not stuck for all eternity!
or you know... you could just release the DRM and let us play locally? no? yeah I wasted my money with this -_-
Extremely dissapointed about this. The game is a real sham...
still doesen't work. only bought for coop -.-
Me too, Helaked... It's an good enough game to play solo as well, but really bought it for co-op...
i could join a game from an other player (story) and my mate too. but we cant join each other games.... multiplayer deathmatch is working btw

@Helaked This sounds interesting. I will ask my colleague and he will contact you so we can resolve this issue.
