Note: Theres been alot of complaints of how I wrote this review. So I've added a bit more to it, and I've changed a few things. But this is not what I changed. I did not remove what I see. I still think there was alot of crying and whining done about this game, in very childish ways. My thread was only to counter....

^ These types of threads. Which gave no example of how the game actually was. Mine was the first who did say how the game was, and didnt just say "Dont buy it" with nothing to really support itself.

Its important to note, that IF you do think the game is bad, and if you don't support it, then by all means, speak up and explain. For those who give solid points of the bad aspects of the game, I will not say your crying or whining, as you have solid opinions to support yourself. These are not the people I am consideirng crying and whining.

Whether you like the game or not, is an opinion. Its neither right, or wrong. "This game sucks!" is a biased view, as your expecting, and assuming everyone has the same feelings and opinions as you. These also are threads I'm attempting to counter. This game has ups and downs, and how you feel about it is your opinion.

Theres been alot of crying about this game. I nearly didnt buy it because of how many people were complaining about it. My verdict? I'm glad I did buy it. I can see 90% of the people complaining are throwing hot air to the winds that mean almost nothing.

While yes, there are problems with the game, yes there has been deception in the advertising, the game is not optimized like it should be, and despite the fact I should be able to play this game on high-normal settings, I have to put it to low. The game itself is not bad.

If your "Crying" about -one- of the above aspects and saying DO NOT BUY, then this is a biased view of the game, I'm going to attempt to pull you away from that, and give you an unbiased view of the game, this is what the game itself has, good and bad.

The above mentioned things are problems with the developers themselves, and while yes deception in advertising can be a pain in the rear when you dont get what you were expecting, does that really make the game itself bad?.... no it doesnt. So lets pull away from the above crying for a sec, and strip back the complaints, and look at how the game is as a whole.

The game itself plays almost exactly like how the fabled Descent games played. I have not played through even half of the game yet, but I'm enjoying it as a whole. Its new, unique, a game mechanic which is very rare in and of itself. Its quite easy to get flipped around while inside a base, or asteroid. If your like me and like to not use the T feature to show you your next objective, the challenge, suspense, and enjoyment is only raised even more.

The game has been featured as a "sand-box" style game, Is it? eh.. yes and no. You can jump from 1 mission to the next and never explore, in-fact, its more than easy to do that. Atm, I find no real reason to really "Explore" and go outside of the linear storyline, apart from simply that.. to explore. Find things, and mine.

Its a "free roam" game, not entirely a sand-box. I compare it to Star Wolves games. Where that is a free roam game, you can go anywhere at anytime, but there is no real reason to go outside of the storyline and main objectives.

I said the storyline is linear, so far it has been, but its been good, and enjoyable, and while I Just got done saying exploring is there, but not necessary, I will say, it can be fun, both to explore on the large scale of the universe, and the asteroids/bases, etc. that you fly into for missions.

The game has alot of ups and downs, the downs mostly from the lack of optimization for graphics, and the misguided advertising, is the only "true" downfall of this game.

And my final word: I dont run with the best computer either. Radeon HD5450 is quite out dated now for games, and I'm able to run this game.

updated 2/11/2013: Added the beginning explanation of my reasons for the review. Removed the fact you need to login to play single player I.E. internet connection required, is no long required.

I nearly never replied... but seeing as you seem to have missed the point on the DRM and have called those who refuse to purchase it 'cryers' - I thought I would. Sounds like you are actually quite biased after all...

Do resources eventulally respawn or will you eventually starve? Just a bit wary about the 'survival' part. I like open world games, but only if i can roam in them and improve myself infinitely.

This is hardly an unbiased review. That doesn't make it a bad review.

Past that, thanks, as I will definitely avoid this game.

I would recommend in the future that you drop the whole 'crying over split milk' paragraph from your reviews if you want to be taken seriously. It adds nothing to the review and simply generates animosity.

As someone who's played the game I don't this will slightly sway anyone either way. Also, do you play with a controller or the keyboard and mouse? If you play with the keyboard and mouse and you managed to play through the game, job well done! If you play with the controller then include that detail in your review.

Ok, maybe the un-biased part in my review is a little hazy. I do have an un-biased view of the game, thats what I meant. I didnt favor, or look away simply because of something. Yes I do know what biased means.

As for resources, I really dont know if they respawn, but there are ALOT of resources, like alot alot, and the galaxy is huge, even if they dont respawn, It would take you a very long time to gobble them all up.

I'm sorry about the "spilled milk" Comment, it stems from my great annoyance of gamers these days who seem to care more about crying over small details than actually enjoying a game which they can still enjoy. I want people to be un-biased when deciding to buy or not buy this game, like I was. My title is just off a little. The game is not bad, I laid out its flaws for people to see, and cleared up any smothered and grey areas that other QQ threads have put a bad name on the game. Like the title says, you decide.
