Gamepad Support
An idea for the devs I've seen once before and am hoping to see again: I think with the relatively small number of abilities present, you guys could easily add gamepad support, perhaps specific support for the Microsoft controller, etc. Wouldn't be hard to map out and you could use the upper buttons to toggle button layouts, just make sure they are completely customizable. Just a thought. I played TERA(briefly) and the controller support was what I liked most about that game, and the idea is the same. They had it right, for sure. The targeting reticule might need to be a bit bigger though, to account for the accuracy disadvantage a gamepad presents.

Oh and perhaps remove the jump/run resource. I think it really just gets in the way of the rest of the game.

I am loving the healer by the way, just wish the heals were a smidge more powerful. Just a smidge. It also needs a "cone" heal, shorter cast times for the main ability, maybe instant since it is a "buff" and not a direct heal, and remove the shared health ability and replace with a channel or something.

*EDIT: I actually have played around a bit more with the shaman since I posted this and have found it shows great promise. But as I went I found myself feeling the same sentiment most others have expressed feeling and that is the desire for a more comprehensive tutorial. The individual spell tooltips and the short tutorial that does exist are not quite enough for understanding how to play the classes.

100% Certain that gamepad support already exists. I know people who play with a 360 controller, albiet not very well in comparison to mouse and keyboard counterparts.

NOOOO then the bunny hopping would be even worse and playing a sin or Warden would be harder.
the Gamepad idea is not bad, but they got more important things too fix first and the skills would be wierd on a gamepad.

You raise a valid point sir. The bunny hopping in any fps is always a hot topic, and for good reason, but I think they could instead just make it split: a jump resource and a separate mana resource. The act of running still should really not require any resource at all. If anything give it a cooldown after so many seconds of continuous running or something, but eating into my mana pool does not seem right to me.

Ultimately though, while I despise it and usually consider it cheap and unsportsmanlike, particularly when used in excess, bunny hopping is a product of the players who play the game. As long as it is an effective means of avoiding enemy fire, it will continue to be implemented by players ad nauseam. The thing is, it really helps most against melee opponents currently, which is is exactly who has the best advantage over a lightly armored class type even with the small self heal shamans have at the moment, so bunny hopping is, in that context, a perfectly acceptable and even expected tactic. I honestly do expect a fair amount of it in any FPS game and even in typical MMO pvp. Many people hop all over the place so long as they don't have a cast bar to fill. It is just the nature of the beast I think, especially in an FPS/hybrid like this.
