Contemplating purchase

I've been watching this game for awhile, and it seems fun. But I have heard rumors that it is hard to find a match and that the servers are empty. is this true?

Also do people play it with different classes, or do most people pick one particular class, making the group/assiting aspect less apparent? thanks

looks like there are only about 55 players playing. down from 700 from december. but they are gonna do a relaunch maybe a free weekend I would wait until then to put money into it.

I don't think it will go on sale for much less than $5, so you might as well pick it up now. If you're a fan of pvp, then Forge is definitely worth trying. As for the population issues, the relaunch should help, so I'm not too worried about it.

The devs have stated that they will eventually do a game relaunch when they have more core features in place, which will definitely help (Steam free weekend + sale + other promotions). Either way, I'm here for the long haul. This game definitely has potential.

The patch that's coming on Wednesday should help.

There are people with the 75% off coupons. Check the this forum. Or if you use Raptr they are offering a 75% discount code. I did the 4 pack bundle for 15 bucks. Sold the other three copies to friends for 5 bucks which gave me the game for free. Tried playing today, didnt see anyone on. It looks fun though. Hope the re-launch brings people back.

I too have the 75 off coupon, I am thinking the Raptr is part of the relaunch and promotion, will be waiting for a free weekend, to see if I will enjoy it. then I too will buy 4 copies and try and sale 3 off. will be awesome.

I keep watching vieos of this game and it looks sweet, but if there's really only 40 concurrent users a day I can't get myself to buy :(

It is being relaunced soon so I'd probably wait till then if you are worried about low player population. I'll say that it is definitely still worth a buy though because you can still find matches and the game has improved so much.

I'm not sure how accurate that chart is, it says there was 32 players online earlier today, with 32 being the peak for the day. Now it says the peak is 27 for the same day.

I think it bases its day on a rolling 24 hour window.

The problem is that you can't really pick a server. It will randomly place you in one. So if you get randomly placed into an empty server, that means there is literally no one playing.
