People who payed for Forge?
So everyone that payed for Forge gets screwed over by it going F2P? Where is the love for people who paid money for this game?

I've paid $60+ (ultimate edition + bought copies for friends), and I've been here since the alpha. I don't feel screwed. I got what I paid for, and they've added a lot of new stuff on top of that.

You don't deserve anything else, so get over your entitlement.

Afaik you get exclusive cosmetic stuff. What else would you want? Godly weapons that one-shot those who didn't pay before it going f2p?

There are no guarantees in life. Anything you spend money on thats for entertainment value is supposed to be disposable income anyway.

I bought 4 copies for friends to play with but could never play because all the problems. They finally fix some of the problems and it goes F2P so yeah I feel owed something. Terrible game, stay away from it

I actually really enjoy the game. Didn't play that much on release though what was there wasn't bad. Theres a lot more to it now though, and its been rather refined. Not everyones game, but no good game is :)

As for going F2P... I was a bit miffed when TF2 did that, then I realised what IIIII was getting out the bargain! Same applies here, thankfully.

To each their own, first off... however, I was not happy at all with the move to F2P. I purchased a full, retail game, not a starter pack for a F2P game with a cash shop. As a paying customer, I should have access to ALL game assets unless a substantial, paid DLC is released. Was this move good for the game and good for the developers? Maybe? The players, though... idk? Let me put this another way: Let's say I buy a banana and at that time, it's not really ripe enough for my taste, so I decide to wait and let it ripen a bit. Then, after a few days, I go back and it's now an orange shaped like a banana and they're now giving them away... and I'm allergic to oranges. Sounds silly, but that's sorta how I feel lol...

wow, loved how u used the banana with put down & ripen, i feel the same way except the part with allergic.....should just left that part out.
I keep coming by to see what happening with the game but it looks like nothing is going to happen.Personally i wish they just made the game SP with bots & MP as icing on the cake.

News Flash!... If it didnt go FTP you wouldnt have ANYTHING to play and your money was just lost...

With the current FTP model anyone can try the game and it wll keep the playerbase fresh.

But im sure it was more important to people that the game just tanked and dissapeared so that noone can play the game EVER..

Somewhere theres a tard factory that churns out ♥♥♥♥♥ all day long...

I'm very bothered by the constant comments and overall opinion of the game's supporters along the lines of "you got what you paid for, you weren't screwed over, you were compensated, and now you can shut up". Most F2P games offer subscription options after the move to F2P and/or offer better compensation. Paying customers got recolored/retextured cosmetic items and some "coins" or whatever the currency is equal to their "experience points". The "the shop is only cosmetic" argument is invalid because there's already boosters on there and last time I checked, you don't wear experience points and levels. The game's population is going back down again, last I checked (or, as I read, at least the "competitive scene" is, whatever that means). The game itself, at it's core, is a great concept, but the sparse and, typically, quite insulting items on the shop are going to run it into the ground. This is not a wish, just an educated guess based on observations of this and various other games. I'm sure the devs are working on schemes for further shop items, events, and maybe even better advertisting (see: any advertising), but I hope they're planning on doing all of that soon for the sake of the game. Also, I would add that, from personal experience, customer service is biased, at best, and non-existent or harassing at it's worst. Some indie devs seem to forget that the gaming biz is still a business and not some clan/forum they run out of their mom's basement - there are repercussions for their actions and that usually translates into $$$ going bye bye...

Edit: oh and to be clear, I'm not suggesting they add a sub. to the game, that would be a deathwish. I'm merely pointing out that most F2P games offer some sort of option for customers as opposed to everyone being a freeloader, maybe buying a few cosmetics or boosters every now and then if the devs are lucky...

You're bothered that the people who play the game feel they got what they paid for and that they weren't screwed and were compensated? I'm not sure what to make of that. If you're not playing the game then why are you here complaining? Those who play the game are saying they're ok with what happened. They might not be thrilled, but they understand why we had to go F2P.

Look, the players who are playing and enjoying Forge are happy that we are still here and continuing to make Forge better.

We seem to be beating this topic to death and nothing useful is coming from it so I'm going to close this topic.
