No, not dead, just susceptible to the ups and downs of peak traffic. It's 9am here in the US so it's not our peak time to play :) You should usually be able to find a good game to play. There's currently a good 4v4 game going.

We've been improving our numbers, especially recently. Next week we'll have a release with Badges which should help as well. What we really need to do is market FORGE as players who play seem to really like it. We just need to do a little better job getting the new player ready for pub games.

I don't underrstand how this game isn't more popular I don't see anyone complaining about the gameplay my two cents on it is Forge is a fairly generic name that is hard for people to find and pick out on steam.

No, of course we're not happy with the current population. Just pointing out that you can still play. Yes, a 4v4 game can be fun. No, there was never a 10v10 game as the max servers can hold is 8v8. But, 8v8 can get pretty chaotic. 6v6 seems to be about perfect - and we have 6v6 games going everyday. Our metrics have been improving. We have over 200 new players finding and playing FORGE everyday. We are still supporting FORGE with a new patch coming out this week. So, no, the game is not dead :)

We are putting our resources into improving the game. No use in marketing FORGE again until our retention rates are up and FORGE is more polished. That's what we're working on. Look around these forums - you'll see new players who have found us saying how they like the game and can't figure out why our numbers are low. Or that we have a good game and just need to market it. The game is good - we just need to polish it up more - then when it's ready we'll market it and bring back players.

I for one enjoy the game a ton and have given away my free starter kits to some friends who seem to want to get into it. I'd love to see this go huge, its fun, it feels fresh to me, and I love the spells and style of gameplay. Very well done in my eyes!

I also enjoy this game, but everytime I download it and play, I end up in a room by myself. I'm sure there are people on at times, but I still do not understand why this game hasnt taken off.

CZARKASM: free starter kits?

Nostradonus: If you want to find a server with the most players, this is how to do that. While in your Steam client click View > Servers > Change Filter > Forge. That will show you the server list. So that way you can get on the most active server.

Thanks for all your support! We're working on improving features to improve retention rates and make it easier for new players. Once finished we'll market the hell out of the game and bring players back!

It's encouraging that you're enjoying the game - again - thanks for your support!

Very promising, and its great to hear from the devs! And Euort, When the game went free to play I still had a couple copies that I didn't gift because my buddy wasnt interested. They turned into these starter kits that had some armor for each class and an xp boost, I believe.

CZARKASM: O I C. Thanks for the info.

your server lists only show 5 populated servers, the most populated being 2 people in a TDM. This is at 9:30 PM California time on a thursday.

Vegetables: I noticed when any other downloads are going that the Steam server list doesn't refresh right.

I'd be playing right now but Forge won't launch for some reason.

I can see this game being very successful on the console marketplace, either xbox or playstation. Perhaps this should be considered.

It's have to be dumbed down for consoles with all the buttons, and even changing them slightly would be a pain.
