Crashes upon clicking load
Exactly as the title says. I have tried deleting and reinstalling, with and without mods, but after restarting my computer today, I can't click the load button in Oblivion. This happens in both the main menu, and the pause menu

Open My Documents/MyGames/Oblivion/ folder, find and delete Oblivion.ini

Delete all of your saves in Documents/MyGame/Oblivion/Saves

Or move them from that folder. See if that fixes it.

I tried all of these before posting here, and none of them did anything

Did you try experimenting with the game settings?

So when you click on load, the game instantly crashes? No loading screen or anything? Where did you install the game? Which directory? You said you tried deleting the ini file, uninstalling and installing the game multiple times, you even deleted all the files stored in the documents folder?

I got it to work by starting the game in the highest resolution in windowed mode

I have the same problem Spycrab. As soon as it clicks play, a small box will appear in the corner of the screen followed by an immediate crash. Lindywest's suggestion only got me to the menu page, because once you actually start to play, the entire screen goes gray and you can't see anything.

Grey screen might be a shader problem. Set bAllow30Shaders in your oblivion.ini to 0. If the value is already 0, download 'Official Oblivion Shaders' from http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/20348/?
