Long loading time

Every time I play Oblivion, it says syncing, and it takes quite a while to actually bring up the launcher itself. Is this just me or does this happen for everyone?

I have been having the same problem. I keep a novel near my pc and I can read several pages waiting for Oblivion to load.

I feel this is a problem of the past few days, haven't had any troubles before but i believe this started either yesterday or two days ago.

Deactivate the synchronization or fix your connection!

Just disable cloud sync and make periodic manual backups.

Right click on Oblivion, select properties, open the updates tab and uncheck the cloud sync box on the bottom.

Well you can play Oblivion off line as well and so that should not have a loading time. I do at work all the time. lol

if you can read a novel or two minutes of reading, while waiting for Oblivion to load. I would suggest a new computer with my six core i must wait 5 seconds to load and im not counting the time it takes for the song to mp3 lol maybe your dxdiag is not in virtual memory and so you need to change your programs for performance to something over 5000-10000 and dont let windows tell you that you cannot have that virtual memory. The Cake is a lie....i think i heard that on Portal though. so make more cake and eat that one.

I was playing Oblivion on steam several months ago with my "puny" quad-core desktop and my high-speed cable internet and had zero load time as well then. The long wait on loading is a recent development.
