Difficulty?
What is the difficulty of this game? I like platformers but admittedly kind of suck at them. I easily lose my patience with something like Super Meatboy for example.

Pretty easy at first. Eventually the twisting mechanic will be of heavy use. Trying to have an all-crystal run (as platformers are indeed about collecting), but some are just so obscure. I'll say medium. There are modes unlocked that will test you: uber-hardcore is JUST like in VVVVVV: one death, you start all over.

Much harder than Mario not as bad as meat boy. Raman Legends might be the closet similar difficulty. The hardest part is getting used to the switching mechanic which basically gives you three different jump buttons for different situations.

It definitely gets tricky, but it's nothing insane like Super Meat Boy. The levels are a lot larger, and there's a bunch of checkpoints so that you don't have to start from the beginning if you mess up.

SMB is also way to annoying and thus becomes hard. Loving it so far.

It's a difficult game that demands your attention but it's not unfair. Expect a good challenge.

its getting harder each level but i didn't encounter any unfair glitches yet, there are a lot of hidden "secret" places where you only get with the knowledge how to control the sisters :)

Man, 27 deaths on Amethyst mines. That ♥♥♥♥ is crazy, the learning curve went from "Ok, check these things out." to "HAHAHAA! DODGE ALL THE INSTANT DEATH SPIKES AND TRAPS SUCKAH!"

only 27 deaths? I've had maps with more then 200 deaths. I don't really consider this game much easier than super meat boy. At first, sure, but later ya still gotta do everything perfect or ya wont progress. At least in Super Meat Boy I could get lucky and still manage cause of the small maps, but in GS ya gotta complete the whole map with sections of the map really bordering the difficulty of super meat boy. In this game if i don't move perfectly I am often instantly dead. Can't even get past map 2-4 A.T.M. and wasted an hour on it a single checkpoint. Deaths = Uncountable. ( drop, jump, twist with moving platform combo's that i can't seem to pull off due to my timing.

I seriously do like that its difficult but some parts are seriously insane expecting you to dance the dance perfectly without a single mistake. Makes me wanna rage quit and play super meat boy, while the parts where I only die 25-50 times before succeeding are rewarding.

For me Amethyst Mines was the level that said "the training wheels are off". From there on it got wierd. Every so often a spot that would kill me time and again followed by a series of puzzles that were a complete breeze.

Amethyst Mines just felt like a giant middle finger to any hope of getting 5 stars on levels... like, geesh... perfectionist achievement hunter in me was screaming in pain.
