Why Giana Sisters TD sends packets to the broadcast?
Why GSGameExe.exe sends packets to the broadcast address (255.255.255.255)? All the time. It's a single player game, I think it is not necessary.

It's just my firewall alert me about that, it was just to know,
why should it send packets to the network constantly? it's a single player game.
Anyway, I'll do what you said.
Thanks

And thanks in advance for also bringing up the multi-monitor concern.

255.255.255.255 is a way to send a "message" to all devices on the network, only local area I think.
Vashe Sep 25, 2013 @ 2:44am
255.255.255.255 is used locally ("LAN limited broadcast"). Don't block it manually, routers do not broadcast that to the Internet as it could cause some problems with LAN games.

I Am Not Amused Feb 20 @ 3:48pm
The Windows 7 Firewall popped up when I first ran this game. That means the game is trying to act as a server, listening to connections from the outside.

I would very much like to know the reason for this. Why does this game act as a server?

What happened to Zyddie? On 12 Sep he said that he'll give an answer "shortly".
Mr. Stimpson Feb 20 @ 4:34pm
I'm interested in the answer to this as well.
