80% Off .. But What About DLCs?
Looking at the forums on http://gianasisterstwisteddreams.com there's a lot of talk about DLCs. Does anyone know what the current status of DLCs/sequels/etc is?

The -80% is great, but if there's a DLC right around the corner I'd still rather wait for a bundle.

The DLC would have to cost the same as the game and the bundle would have to be a 50% discount (which means it's free with the game) to be a better deal than this. Seeing as that would just be making the people that bought the game buy it again at full price, I think you're pretty safe getting it now.

Wait and you risk the price going up. Who knows when DLC is coming.. but when it does, I doubt the game will be less than 9.99.

This is such a foolish post I recommend a moderator delete it.
The OP clearly has no sense of value as DairunCates also mentioned.

Bundle? What about buying it seperately? The game is a steal for 3€! I recommend buying it to support the developers at least ;>

This has happened before, with a lot of games - and I've been burned by it badly. Which is why I'm so cautious with buying "non-finished" games.

Well, such is life.. This is one gamble I'm willing to take.

But let's not get off-topic. The original question was about whether there actually will be a DLC in the near future, or not.

That has been done before, with a lot of games. Which is why I'm so cautious with buying new games.

Care to link to any steam page where the DLC cost the full price of the original game and the bundle was JUST the cost of the DLC? Because I call BS on that.

Are you sure you're not thinking of heavily discounted bundles but ones that are still a few more bucks than the cost of the game itself? There's a rather important difference here. Because if that's the case, you're probably STILL going to save money on a 3 dollar game and then buying the DLC. At the absolute worst case scenario of there's a DLC that's practically an entire game and costs the same as the game, you'd probably still come out ahead, and even if you didn't you'd come out like 50 cents behind at worst.

Also, the DLC they mentioned might've been the Easy Mode patch that was JUST released. So, it's possible it's not even getting a paid DLC.

So, It is basically a non-risk. The odds of you losing money in the long run on it are basically less than 5% anyway, and the amount you'd lose would be piddling at worst.

Well.. seems I was right after all.

Giana Sisters: 3€
Giana Sisters DLC: 4,50€
Giana Sisters Bundle: 8€

Anyone care to tell me again how wrong I was?
DairunCates Sep 29, 2013 @ 10:10am
Uh... 3 + 4.50 = 7.50. Which is, you know, STILL less than 8 dollars.

You were still very much wrong. Seriously. How are you THIS bad at math?

Rise of the Owlverload isn't DLC. It's a sequel. Why were you so interested in DLC? I find it perplexing that you thought no DLC means an unfinished game. It was finished. This is just a sequel.

The current bundle includes two standalone games: the original and the sequel.
At the current sale price for the bundle, it's a crazy steal.

If any DLC shows up in the future, great. But you are not buying an "unfinished game" with either of the standalone games (or the bundle that contains them both).

If the gameplay looks interesting to you, grab it now.

...And yet it's STILL less than buying them when the game was 80% off and just buying this separately now. $7.50 (the cost of both) is still less than $8.09 (the price now). No one was ever debating whether there was going to be a DLC or sequel since they said there was (although, some people thought it was the free patch). The problem is that you were arguing that you should wait because 80% off wasn't going to be cheaper than getting the bundle later.

It's a ridiculous 50% off for the bundle on launch right now and you STILL wouldn't have saved money in the long run. Unless you're going to waitch for the bundle to go 75% off at either the christmas sale or next summer sale (which isn't a guarantee), you're not really going to have saved money, and waiting a little over a year to save the equivalent of a dollar is a bit silly.

That wasn't Prime Sonic who made that argument, it was Guilty Spark.

And I was arguing that he was an idiot for saying a game without DLC isn't finished. That's just an insane statement.

But you make a great point. I'm gonna hop in my time machine, and get the game when it was 80% off. Bye.

Ah. Brain fart. Scrolled quickly, saw Guilty Spark's name and an avatar that was the same basic color. Yeah. If you didn't get it back when it was 80% off, this is still a very good deal if you want the game and the new campaign. I'd recommend it, if you're interested and have determined the difficulty of the game isn't going to be a turn-off for you.

Already bought it. ♥♥♥♥ing love it. Difficulty is a ♥♥♥♥♥, but it dosen't penalize you too harshly. I'm having fun.
