Extra = Original Giana Sisters ?

If you finish the (story) you will get the original Giana Sisters game as Extra. What do you think?

I think that would be an awesome Extra if it is possible to make ofc.

The extras are the Halloween and Christmas levels right now. I think for legal reasons they would not be able to do the original.

Original was brilliant (I had it on C64) . Better than Mario in everyway - which is why Nintendo cried so hard and sued. Nintendo will never allow the original to be sold.
Useless Fact - Mario started as an animal smuggler - not a plumber - was changed to a plumber randomly a few years back. All early games he is holding endangered aminals captive - no princesses or stupid turtle thing.

Nintendo are like Apple in this- They run 5 years behind + release inferiour products at inflated prices + then abuse the legal system and blame everyone else except themselves for this.
It will be available on one of the many c64 emulators. - Try that.

Well, since i still own a C64 + GS ofc i don't need an emulator, my idea for an extra was just to share the original with everyone who did not know it. :)

What have you been smoking.

Nintendo never sued the company, they threatened with legal action and the publishers/developers took it off the shelves. Knowing very well they would lose the legal battle, the first level of the original Giana Sisters is pretty much a 1:1 copy of the original Super Mario Bros. And the gameplay is very similar troughout the whole game.

That being said Giana Sisters was a good copy/game and I enjoyed playing it, it's probably one of the better games on the C64. But I personally feel the original Super Mario Bros plays better.

The original Mario was a carpenter who mistreated his pet monkey, the pet monkey kidnaps his girlfriend, and jumpman (mario) must save her. This was in 1981 and Mario was retconned into a plumber in 1983, in a game where he and his brother Luigi must defeat creatures coming from the sewers.

Mario was never an animal smuggler, and princess Toadstool and King Koopa appear 4 years after Jumpman was introduced. So you're fact was indeed useless as it's just a bunch of lies.

Actually, you can buy Giana Sisters for the Nintendo DS/3DS, and yes it's an official release :)

I Remember when my friends and i played it on Commodore 64, one of the most played games in the old days;) Damn im old;) I Also enjoyed old Super mario on Nintendo 8 nes compared to the newer versions they have come out with,dont know what it is, maybe im to old;)

While visually even closer to the original, Giana Sisters DS is not a port of the original but a distinctly different game - just like Twisted Dreams.
