It is a jumpnrun game. I rather would describe it as a faster paced trine. You will have to switch between the two character just to get anywhere and sometimes it is quite tricky.

Trine look more like a Lost Viking gameplay with 3 character to switch and there is nothing to collect like in DKC where you have tons of bananas coin etc

way more DKC than Trine!

I'd have to go with a mixture between DKC, Trine and Mario.

Well its certainly not like The Great Giana Sisters wich this game is based upon, that game was Super Mario on crack for the Amiga - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lp02Cr3I1pg

There are also elements that are like Mighty Switch Force, in terms of morphing to materialize/dematerialize platforms and obstacles.

I am going to suggest Eversion and Rayman Origins.

I would compare it with Trine 2 since its the same kinda style in gaming and Vessel probably.

Outland on consoles maybe. You have jump and run and 2 "sides" to switch (in Outland red and blue).

I think it can easily be compared with Scary Girl http://store.steampowered.com/app/202370/?snr=1_7_15__13

The first time in my life I heard about a game that was a rip off of another game was with giana sisters. I myself had super mario bros on my nes and then a friend showed me giana sisters on his amiga.
I was like: wtf its a female mario...

Good game though and while I never had an amiga myself I enjoyed playing the game with my friend.

Just wanting to share and naturaly since I remember the original I am curious myself as how good the new giana sisters is.

damn your friend have a very rare copy then this game got withdrawn from sale by Nintendo thus making this game very rare

its funny the first version were more like Super Mario and this one is more like Donkey Kong Country -.-

and btw Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams have a 75% sale today !

Maybe it was a pirated game then. I dont really know but it was common back then to buy games on markets. As far as I remember Giana sisters was not rare.
But again I never had an Amiga myself so I am no expert.

Edit. Oh the game was also for the Commadore 64. Then it was probably that one we played. Most games for the commadore was pirated. Its a little hard to remember every details when I was only a kid and its over 20 years ago.
