Morrowind Mods
So how easy is it to add mods on the Steam Version? Im a LONG time Morrowind player putting in hundreds upon hundreds of hours into this game. At one time I used to own a Hard Copy but I pretty much destroyed the disk at one point and ive been using a questionable version ever since. So I was just curious if the way to add mods is the same as the standard version.
Thanks!

Its super duper easy and works the same way as the original. But I heard using the steam overlay can cause problems with some mods (Overhaul 3.0)

Sweet ill buy it then. There are just some mods I cant play without. Like the Imperial Pauldrons that should be Medium Armor instead of Heavy, added Unarmored buffs to make the skill usable ect ect simple stuff like that.

I don't understand why people assume mods don't work the same if you buy a game via Steam. All that happens is the game is installed in the Steam folder. Nothing else.

it's located in program files (x86 if you have a 64-bit OS)/steam/steamapps/common/morrowind.

Deactivate the steam overlay if you use any mods that modify or interact with morrowind's .exe while it's running. It's not hard, if you need to do it a google search should find the instructions to do so in less than a minute. The overhaul 3.0 works just fine with the steam version if the overlay is disabled, reason being that the steam overlay and mge (morrowind graphics extender, one of the components of the overhaul) conflict with each other.

You can use 7Zip or WinRar. And mods are typically placed directly into the Data Folder. However, when I say this I don't mean the mods folder entirely. Most mods will give you a read me on exactly where to place the files/folders.
