Need help with overhaul

You need to disable Steam overlay for it to work, so is there any possible way we can take screenshots and then still upload them to Steam?

i think you have to enable screen shot function in your ini file. it should be under documents - my games - morrowind. that is where it is for me. i found this out by just googleing it.

Well print screen button still takes screenshots for overhaul, but I can't figure out how to add them to Steam

The MGE XE, which comes with the overhaul, has screenshot function. Just map the key in MGE XE interface and viola!

Would that upload the screenshots to Steam? It's not the fact that I can't take screenshots, I just can't upload them to Steam since you have to disable overlay for Overhaul to work.

Theory:

Find out where Steam stores your screenshots. Give that path to MGE XE, so that it takes your screenshots directly into Steam's Morrowind screenshot directory. Play the game, take screenshots of wonderful Morrowind scenery. Once you quit the game, Steam discovers there are new pictures in the screenshot directory and asks if you want to upload them.

I didn't try it and I'm not sure if the screenshots manager works that way, but it's worth a try.

I believe I already tried the location of the screenshots. They don't show up in the screenshot manager.

I played it with the Overlay just fine a year or so ago, didn't seem to mess up anything for me? What is the exact reason for disabling the Steam Overlay? Are there any consequences or is the game simply unstable and crashes with it?
